I'm very proud with my 3rd round selection to take Jason Kidd.

Image

PGs are going quick here, and I'm glad I got my guy before the rush. I'll likely be taking his 2000-01 season first and the 2 following (don't quote me on it though).

2000-01 - 16.9 points, 9.8 assists, 6.4 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 41% FG (All NBA 1st, All Defensive 1st)
2001-02 - 14.7 points, 9.9 assists, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals, 32% 3PT (All NBA 1st, All Defensive 1st)
2002-03 - 18.7 points, 8.9 assists, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 42% FG, 34% 3PT (All NBA 2nd, All Defensive 2nd)

One of the greatest rebounding PGs of all time, a floor general that can lead a team either in a half court set or executing the full court offense. A fantastic defender, one tough cookie and a guy who can take the open jumper.

Team Snakebites happily adds another versatile clutch performer to pair with Michael Jordan.

With the final pick in the third round of the Trades and Transactions Games board ATL draft, we are pleased to select Paul Pierce.

Clutch, solid defenisive rep, and versatile balance on offense. We feel we can't pass this opportunity up.

I was gonna say...you're literally going to take 24 hours?

And no, hoffa, stupid early morning lack of motor skills.

Selecting for MJallday59 from the list I received, they are pleased to select:

Image

Chauncey Billups!!

Maybe the most prototypical PG in the league right now, terrific shooting and defense from the PG position, but unlike most doesn't need the ball in his hands to be fully effective, making him a perfect fit next to any dominant wingman.

With our 4th round selection in the 2009 All-Time Draft, the Houston Rockets select . .

Image

Dwyane Wade!!!

Look, there wasn't going to be a perfect fit at this spot, if I went with a shooter, my perimeter defense would suffer, if I went with a big man, the lack of wing options wouldn't be there late in the 5th round. The depth at that position is greater than the elite swingman remaining. Here in Dwyane Wade, I pick up a Finals MVP, that's one of the most explosive SG's to have ever played. His career may not be at the level of some of the SG's taken, but his short years in the NBA, he's proven he can get to the line at an elite level, an explosive finisher and clutch playoff performer. To boot he's an All-NBA defender that's solid man to man, and elite on the weakside. Some could argue spacing would be a bad fit, but Payton ranked near the top in three point makes for most of his career and peak, and there's no doubt Barry would transfer over as a three points marksmen.

And Wade's a smart player, he's an absolutely dangerous mid-range shooter, it's not that he CANT shoot because in reality, he's a tremendous shooter, just not from range. He also allows us versatility in the backcourt, as he can play the PG next to Payton, or allow for us to take another SG with more range and be able to play him adequate minutes as well. A champion, clutch, terrific all around game including defensively, and explosive offensively, we're happy to have him.

Guys, I'm going to keep merging all completed rounds into this thread, and the first post will stay updated with who has been taken so far so you can just search (ctrl+F) to see if the guy you want has been taken.

Ugh, jeez.

Tough to get motivated for this one when there is so much time between picks.

Why the hell did Fingerroll start this only to take off for a week when we weren't even through 3 rounds?!

Fingerroll selects Bernard King

Bernard King is IMHO the best SF on the board and the ability to score 34pts on 15FGA cannot be ignored.
