I am back from my vacation a little early. Leaving again next week. Didn't have time to read through this thread in its entirety yet.

Wafer has had workouts with Magic and the Suns. Once the Magic sign Barnes they'll back off Wafer. I haven't checked updated news since I've been snorkeling and scuba diving in the Philippines but the Magic will probably ink Barnes this week. Not sure if that is news yet.

Anyway, Wafer was having a good workout with us. We're worried about his attitude and so it probably will be stopped on account of that. If we do sign Wafer look for a renewed push that will see Barbosa go since we aren't getting much interst in Richardson.

Anyway, that's what I'm hearing. I haven't heard this is a done deal. So I'm not sure what has been said. He was in for a private workout, looked good. But displayed a **** temper. Heard we may back off but moving Brarbosa or richardson woud mean signing Wafer.

Just saw Barnes being signed was made official a few days back. Hehe. Again, on an island getting drunk and diving. Removed from the scene. Just did a quick update check on emails and posted. Sorry for the old news.

The Wafer sentiments stand as of two days ago I heard. Haven't been updated since then.

If signing Wafer means losing Barbosa than this FO is ruining what little goodwill they had with me after retaining Hill and Nash.

Traxxe, wafer did not workout for the suns this offseason though there were conversations. He did however work out for the team a few years ago and he got into a scuffle which may be what you are talking about.

"Word is trickling down that Florida State’s Von Wafer may have killed his NBA shot this week during a private workout for the Suns. Reportedly Wafer was frustrated by the physical beating he was taking from Jan Jagla and while driving to the hoop laid an intentional elbow to Jagla’s nose drawing a rush of blood onto the court. Wafer supposedly ended the workout at that point."

I heard they were some discussions but no signings. He worked out for the Magic and Suns. I don't know about the 05 thing. That's what I heard. Maybe we watched him workout somewhere else. I'm not sure.

I heard the worry was more about how he spoiled his relationship in Houston and irresponsible tweets over the summer. I haven't read his twitter or anything so I don't know. He has an attitude problem and we're hesitant on chemistry aspect.

Again, I'm just now back so I'm not back in the loop of things entirely. Wafer isn't the only piece talked about. The Suns are trying to fill out the roster and they were not very happy about Summer League play. Griffin isn't loved and will be a D-League guy if nothing falls in our laps as to other deals. Wafer has come up but I still hear about talks about shopping our own SG's. Well, at least there was mention of it last week.

I think the Suns have two plans regarding the starting SG. I think they know we need another big and they will trade Rich or LB to get one if they have to. Obviously they would prefer to move Rich and his large salary but I could see LB being moved for the right price. Problem is you will not find equal value for LB since his deal is so low.

Barb + Dudley (or Amundson) to Chicago for Noah + James Johnson, hows this sounds?

I'd rather have Barbosa instead of Noah and Dudley instead of James Johnson but I wonder what others will say.

I don't like Noah that much. And though I don't like Lopez that much either, i'd much rather have him.

I think Chicago is clearly getting the better ned of that deal.

Noah's a perfect compliment C next to Amare, tenacious rebounder with high energy. All this guy needs to do is to add a few pounds of muscle and he can easily put up 12/10/2 every single night.
As for Dudley, I think he's a career role player, a very servicable one but still a role player. And IMO, I believe that Jame Johnson has more potential and upside than Dudley.

But since we are not in full rebuilding mode, I don't see our FO trading away assets for unexperienced rookie.

I don't feel like reading through 19 pages on this topic to see if someone posted this source or not.

yes that's been posted and no i doubt they are correct.

suns prob won't sign Wafer b/c he has attitude problems. Something suns have been known to not foster and tolerate on their team.

surprised JRich has not been traded yet after a DUI and Speeding. Remember when JKidd got into some off-court issues? Dude was gone a few months later.

It's not a terrible deal but it's not a real upgrade either. I'm still not convinced that Noah is anything ... Johnson looked good in SL but that means little.

Some pretty savvy types think Noah is an Important Player, though. I don't see it myself. I think he's the very definition of ... pretty good. He'll have games where he looks like a beast

Isn't Noah who Kerr believes RoLo is?
