Does anyone have any possible trades that could happen with one other team?

Just call Memphis or the Clippers. They're always willing to be that third team.

I was thinking OKC. Tony Allen played in college there.

Pacers must not be all that enamored with what the Celtics can offer, and neither am I.

Re: Pacers and Celtics looking to add a third team to the mix
^ Well the only guy the Celtics have who's salary is about the right amount and who the Pacers might want enough to make it worth the trouble is Tony Allen. If Bird doesn't want Allen because of past off-court problems, then that might prevent a deal.
Although, if the Pacers wanted Giddens or Walker and the Celtics were willing to part with one of them, plus Allen, plus the cash to buy out Allen so his "character issues" never have a chance to soil Indiana's locker room...then maybe a third team wouldn't be needed after all.

Re: Pacers and Celtics looking to add a third team to the mix
we need a 3. Boston wants to move Allen, a 2, or Scalabrini, a 4. trying to find a third team that has an extra 3 and wants an expiring contract at another position makes sense. in fact, I started a third on the trade forum quite a while ago soliciting possible third teams. I thought the best idea came from a MN fan who suggested Gomes.

Re: Pacers and Celtics looking to add a third team to the mix
I'm very pleased to know this because clearly we're not gonna get anyone useful from Boston in the proposed Daniels trade. We don't need Allen's below-sea-level-IQ or Scalabrine as a B2 to B1 (Troy Murphy) and so we better come up with someone more valuable than the Boston Fillers, and preferably a back-up sf.
Looking at the obvious players as well as the "potentially" involved players, maybe we could have a clearer look as to which third team could be interested.
INDIANA:
on the block: Marquis Daniels (S&T), Jeff Foster (?), TJ Ford (?), Travis Diener (?)
Though it is unlikely that the Pacers do a blockbuster (especially for just a back-up sf), we can never rule it out, especially if we'll get an upgrade over TJ and some really valuable reserves like a legit defensive center, etc.
I think the recent signings of Solomon Jones and Earl Watson is an indication of a potential trade involving one of our big men and a pg.. or maybe it's just me fantasizing.
BOSTON
on the block: Brian Scalabrine, Tony Allen, Gabe Pruitt (?), JR Giddens (?), Bill Walker (?)
The main reasons that could attract teams to take in players from Boston are the expiring contracts paired with some players with good long-term potential like Walker.

Hit Memphis up for a reasonable S & T of Warrick and they can take Allen.

Re: Pacers and Celtics looking to add a third team to the mix
I read this morning that the Nets are trying to acquire Big Baby Davis (he's a restricted free agent), but they are going to need to do and sign and trade and need to find a third team. Their roster is full and so they need to unload some people - the wings they have are:
-Maurice Ager
-Trenton Hassell
-Jarvis Hayes
-Bobby Simmons
-Terrence Williams
-Chris Douglas-Roberts
-obviously they arent giving up Williams, but Ager and Hayes could be serviceable backups at not too high of a price. I prefer Jarvis Hayes. I thought of him as more of a SG, but he is listed as a SF at 6'8.
wondering if we are talking to them about this

I'd love to have Jarvis Hayes. When he was with Detroit 2 seasons ago, he used to kill us off the bench.

I still have a man-crush on Douglas-Roberts...I wanted the Pacers to draft him. I'm telling you, he's a sneaky-good player, and will prove it over the next few seasons.
Can't see how he fits into the three-way trade, though--his salary just isn't big enough. We'd have to take another guy too, and I don't think we have room left on our roster to take more than one (unless someone sends us cash for a buyout).

id like to ave hassell for his defense, hes only got one year left. The problem is that he makes way too much. 4.5 i think. jarvis hayes would be my choice, but i would prefer a defensive player.

CDR is being wasted in Jersey. He was arguably the best player on that Memphis team and should've been drafted much higher than he was. If we somehow land him, I'd have a small fit of joy.

Anyway we could get Thabo from OKC. I dont know if theres anything they would want from Boston.
Watson/Jones/Thabo is a pretty good defensive bench

Gomes would be a great option for the Pacers his deal is not gauranteed after this season so if we need we could drop him to save money or trade him away he'd have a lot of value for the instant savings.

Not a chance in hell the T'Wolves give up Gomes without getting quality in return. He's part of their young nucleus that actually has good value.

I read a story on Hoopsworld that said the following:
Why wouldn't we want Bill Walker? Just curious.

Well if we took Walker boston would have to add another player. And we dont have a roster spot for 2 players. So we would be paying one player just to cut him.

Could also be that we're not too thrilled to take a chance on Walker because of his history with knee injuries.
