Tony Parker injured during international play

This sucks. Probably nothing serious, but I'd prefer he wouldn't play for France anymore.

Or we can ask him to don't play for the spurs anymore...

The Spurs brass know about it and said that it's nothing to be worried about.

Spurs need to send a message that they aren't going tollerate this off-season nonsense by fining T-Park heavily for endangering their 2010 title prospects. After all, it's NBA championship or bust for San Antonio this season.

Right. And don't forget to send the same message to the usa team.

Respect the world and the world will respect you... "Tolerate"... I wil give you some tolerance...

Dare I say it, but I'd rather Duncan go down with injury than T-Park... because you can replace Duncan somewhat with Dice and Ratliff.

It's basketball, he could have easily have gotten injured playing a pick up game. TP is key to our success this upcoming year. The one thing none of the others have is a great point guard. That's where the spurs will make their money.

Hopefully tony will be fine come the start of the season.

Actually I think Ginobili is more important to how far the Spurs will go. The Spurs lost pretty badly the past two years when Ginobili wasn't 100% or even playing at all. But that's just my opinion.

I didn't want to hear the word "injury" all year, now we're getting it before the season starts?!

Apparently the MRI showed no ligament damage, meaning if he rests it for a bit he'll be fine.

He won't rest. He will play thursday.

What do you want?! A couch potato who can live his life during the off saison?! No plane, no shoe, no car, no sex, no cooking, oh no pee, no poopoo... Put all your players on a cryogenic box and you wil be satisfied. Four months to wake up and be in shape...

Why TP is always in shape in october and november?! because he plays with the national team. He's been injured... once, the last dsix years. Why? because his finger turned on a jersey... Some died eating bretzels or driving cars.

When he's in Europe, at least he doesn't do anything stupid bored by the off season, with no friend, with no goal. Yesterday i saw Starbury make a online film. The man doesn't know what to do in the summer. He seems depressed, bored, he could do anything stupid... These men need activitites during the summer. Otherwise they are fat, out of shape, drunk, in jail, involved in a car accident, etc.

TP is doing his home work. Don't be worry about him.

I would rather TP be active and staying in game shape than traveling to China promoting himself. He's still a young buck and needs to continue to work on his game, plus I imagine its nice being around his countrymen.

If he is playing on Thursday I am sure he'll be fine. Now for the senior citizens on our team they need to stay as fresh as possible during the offseason.

Calm down, buttercup. TP's responsibility is to the team that is paying him big $$$. It's up to him to ensure he doesn't risk an injury in the offseason, jeopardizing the upcoming season.

Tony Parker didn't play tonight. Next game for him: next week against Italy.
edit: The Spurs asked his come back...

Very poor shooting game as usual for the french national team, in a curious and tight win against Hungary (70-69). Nando De Colo won the game in the last possession, all by himself.

Nando played SG and PG. Best player on the floor. Best Scorer... Spurs fans realy have to watch that game.

Parker was just asked to come back to San Antonio right away, to check his injury.
Considering that the said ankle injury was said to be benign, and that France has an amazingly important qualification game against Italy on August 5, Parker commented : "I sincerely don't understand this decision (...) I hope to come back as soon as possible to play the qualification games."

The relations between the Spurs and the French national team still are... well, not ideal.
In any case, Tony is once more showing his amazing commitment to his national team.

So did tony come back to get checked out? Seems like the French and Argentine National teams have been farm teams for the spurs.

France
Tony Parker
Ian Mahimni
Nando De Colo
(Plus portland picked Batum a pick before we would have)

Argentina
Manu
Oberto
Scola

Limo,

We, over at the Bobcat's board, would be eternally grateful if you would give us similar updates on Diaw and Ajinca.

Unfortunately, there's nothing to say... Boris is ridiculous, not agressive. He's some kind of a pussy bobcat on a hot tin floor. Ajinça sits on his cédille.
