How many years can the Celtics contend?

With an aging roster, Garnett on bad knees, not to mention he plays dirty basketball and people tend to calm as they age, Rondo has a chemical imbalance, Pierce thinks he's better than he is, and Rasheed Wallace doesn't want it anymore, so how many more years can they legitimately contend for a title?

as long as Danny Ainge is running things.......he is the real reason....He'll trade our huge expirings in a couple of years to make sure we keep up.

I just don't see it happening. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand to see the Lakers win titles EVER, but I don't see the Celtics being the team to challenge them.

If Garnett( PS Garnett played hurt all year, just wore out in Dec. 2008) and Powe were not hurt, they would have given LA all they could have handled in the finals and we've upgraded with Wallace and Daniels ( as compared to who we had on our bench the last two years )

If not the celtics, come clean and admit who your really root for?

I'd like to see a documentary made on the current fad of internet trolling. How they go about their daily lives, what makes them tick, go talk to the guy who diddled them as a child etc etc.

It'd have to be pretty low budget...tough to fit a bunch of camera equipment into small family basements.

Good point, they'd have to get crazylegshayes' mother to sign a release so they could film in her basement. She'd prob do it for a couple of bucks though, as usual.

I envision the year after next to be the beginning of the 90s for the Celtics, where there was still air in basketballs and the earth was still spinning, and yet the Celtics were farther from title contention than most teams have ever been. Danny Ainge will destroy the Celtics future, you can quote it and document it.

haha. if winning a title after 4 years from taking over a going-nowhere bad-contract-ridden team constitutes "destroying the Celtics future", then i'll take that anyday.

Ainge is among the best GMs in the NBA. as someone said, as long as he's running the show, we'll be in the hunt.

How many more years can Boston contend for a title?
