Ainge is among the best GMs in the NBA. as someone said, as long as he's running the show, we'll be in the hunt.

Look at your current team, you have ALL aging stars, ONE young player to build around, and he's a dick. The Celtics will suck in two years.

so you're saying our title doesn't count cuz we have an old team?

LMAO. what a noob.

last time i checked the idea was to win championships.

and since you know so little about basketball, let me give you a clue: veteran teams win titles.

That they do, but ridiculously old teams don't, and I didn't say your title doesn't count, I was rooting for the Cs that year, because I despise the Lakers, but I'm tired of seeing Kevin Garnett be Kevin Garnett. I'm tired of the attitude that Eddie House has because he's a 25% 3 point shooter who does nothing else well, I'm tired of Brian Scalabrine thinking that having Kevin Garnett on his team makes him tougher. Listen, most of the Celtics are douchebags. Ray Allen is a good person, but other than that, I've seen a lot of douche coming from the NE and I'll be stoked when your team is no longer relevant. They don't have a shot at the title this season, or next, or next, or next.... And THAT is what I mean by Danny Ainge destroying your future.

Look at em, typing away furiously, directing all his hate towards the Celtics when we all know he's just venting because of those squeaking bedsprings up above.

Well, we got one title. We probably would've played a 7-game series with the Lakers last season (win or lose) if Garnett and Powe were healthy.

I'd say with the team we have now, we can probably contend for the next 2 seasons. This season will probably be our last shot at home court though.

After this team gets changed up by Ainge though? We already know he's capable of turning things around in our favor in a relatively short time span. So if you want to know how long the Celtics, as a franchise will contend, rather than the Celtics current roster, I don't think it'd be a stretch to say we could possibly contend for the next decade. All depends on what Ainge flips our expirings into.

This really wasn't about that though. You don't like the Celtics (outside of Ray). Now that we all know, you can get off the soap box. :-?

so basically you hate the C's and are just HOPING that we won't win anything. you don't have any actual proof or any real argument other than "they're old". (despite the fact that our big 3 are 34, 33, and 31and in great shape).

LOLOLOLOLOL.

oh, by the way, the average age of our roster is 26.9, which is below the league average.

i think you might need some therapy for all that hate, son.

If they can find a really good trade for Ray's expiring contract this season, they could contend for another 8-10 years. If they don't trade Ray, they will contend for 2-3 more years. Of course, they could always trade KG in a few years for some younger pieces to carry them forward.

Great shape? GREAT SHAPE?!!? Garnett is done buddy, Paul Pierce has maybe 2 productive years left, Ray is not what he once was, and the average age thing is BOGUS. All of your young talent is terrible!!!! Name one young player besides wacko Rondo that is young and promising?!

I think we're in unresolved childhood conflict territory.

(This message board is probably not the best place for successful therapy.)

Perkins?
Just from viewing some of your posts I think its safe to say you don't have a clue about the Celtics let alone basketball in general. Your ignorant. First of all, Garnett is not done. He had a tendon sprain that heals with time and underwent surgery to remove bone spurs. This isn't half as serious as many of you make it out to be. Ray Allen just had one of his better seasons shooting incredibly high numbers from the field. Pierce will be able to compete on an elite level for more than two years. You have absolutely no legitimate argument to state why the Celtics won't be contenders for years to come.
