Like a homer, I support the Texans. I barely watched football as a kid, the Oilers moved in 1996 and I never really liked the Cowboys.

I watched a game or two from 2002-2003, but I fell in love with the team in 2004 after a game against KC where Andre Johnson had a ridiculous catch (feel free to youtube, it's worth it), Marcus Coleman had a 102 yard INT return, and Kris Brown hit a last second field goal. I was hooked...though I think we lost to the Lions the following week, or the previous.

Currently, what sets it apart from other teams is a dynamic Broncos-like offense that features the best WR in the NFL, the AFC's leading RB in 2008, a QB that threw for 400 yards in Lambeau in the winter, and a TE that can do a 5 day weather forecast.

Also, this team is for lack of a better term, squeaky clean. The owner tends to release guys as soon as they get a DUI. It's paying off, it's a team full of overachievers and blue collar workers, something the city admires.

large revenue generating team. with all monies going to improvement of facilities and furthering the program. USC is the largest proponent of the student-athlete in football. we generate scholars and champions. and are very generous in our giving towards the less fortunate.

Let's just say Reggie Bush took a pay cut leaving USC early.

DENVER BRONCOS FAN.......nothing will EVER change that.

My team has had it's ups and it's downs. From the 77 super bowl to the blowouts in the 80's to finally seeing John Elway win two rings....and then being replaced by the likes of Bubby, griese, the "snake", and then Jay (who was as close to John at an early age as I've seen) - and now we turn it over to Kyle Orton.

Actually like my team's chances this year, however. Orton is, and always has been, a system QB. Denver has a SOLID offensive line, four very good receivers in Gaffney, Marshall, Stokely, Royal, several good blocking and receiving tight ends, and a plethora of runners.....from Buckhalter to Moreno to Jordan to Peyton Hillis and Ryan Torain. The offense is FINE.

Defensively, I think we are doing it right - we shored up the DT spot with Fields and Marcus Thomas, I still think we have enough hybrid ends but still need to improve there, but the linebacking corps and the secondary is, IMO, very very solid. Having a mix of young talent and veteran leadership will work well.

I think McDaniels is still one year out from being "judged" for his performance. And I think that he has drafted well so far and I am impressed with his leadership, barring the Cutler mess. He brings a team mentality, which we seem to have lost.

Just wait. Denver goes 10-6 and gets in the playoffs. Don't be shocked if they make some noise.

What team do you support?

Jacksonville Jaguars

What draws you to that team?

Well I was raised a Packers fan, but I started paying more attention to the NFL in 1996, the Jags second year. It just seem a natural fit to follow this new team; they felt accessible. It helped that they had an incredible run into the playoffs that year with a bunch of young and exciting players.

What sets your team apart from others?

The general "shinyness" of a new team matured into an appreciation of being a tough team with big DT's and powerful running backs. I really wanted guys like Natrone Means to work out. I grew to appreciated most of what Fred Taylor delivered, MJD looks like he'll continue to be great.

What set them apart more recently... well... I appreciate their commitment to coaches, two pretty good ones over 14 years now. I'd like to think they tried to stay committed to being physically dominant as well as classy, but neither is quite true. I guess at this point it's just become a tradition. Maybe I could go with the quite leader thing. I don't like braggarts, but I may be stretching a bit here.

Living near Toronto I typically only attend a few NFL games when I drive down to Cleveland, Detroit, or Buffalo. Although it's the furthest, I tend to I prefer visiting Cleveland. However none of those three comparatively local teams have ever done anything to really draw more than a passing interest away from the Jags or Packers. To become a fan I'd have to believe the franchise has at least a little class, integrity, and of course ability.
