Will someone bring Daniel Manning some water?

Post#1 » by emperorjones » Wed Jul 29, 2009 11:07 pm

After reading that Manning will be the starting FS and switch to the Nickle on passing downs and will be keeping his kick return duties I was just wondering if the man will need a personal water boy?

I'm actually OK with him moving back to FS at the START of training camp if he limits the mental lapses and blown assignments to 4 or fewer on the year. Hopefully working directly with Lovie has paid off.

Now Steltz coming in at FS on passing downs????? :o

I am with you on this Emperor, something has to give.

It would seem most logical to hand over the return duties to someone else.... maybe somebody like Jonny Knox.

It would be in the Bears best interest to not place to many demands on Manning.

Let him concentrate strictly on playing safety.

In fact, the same philosophy should apply to Hester, who faltered big-time in the kick-off return department, so he can focus and concentrate all of his efforts on improving as a receiver.
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."
