The Final Two Roster Spots

Who will fill them?

I have to think there will be a center added somehow, somewhere.

FYI, we have one player taller than 6'10": Oleksiy Pecherov

They'll remain empty.

Unless we make a move that adds more players to our roster than we send out of town or resign with Carney

It would have been nice to get Bellinelli for free... which I guess was potentially available

Carney and Siler would be nice. Both realistic options, and it would at least make next season a bit more entertaining.

Other than watching the development of Love, Carney was about all the Wolves had going toward the latter half of the season (when Al went down). His improved shot, explosiveness to finish, age, need at the SG and his role as a great teammate make it a no-brainer to bring him back. I’m encouraged (after reading Zgoda a couple of days back)that his name came up in the conversation.

Also, would like to see Warrick come in for the cheap.

Not that Carney is a bad person, he just appeared to be adequate due to the rest of our horrible roster. I don't want him back unless we're sure he's a 3rd stringer.

Yeah, I'm not really getting wet over Carney. If it's a cheap one year contract, sure, but he's not a rotation player on a contender and he's kind of at his prime already. He is what he is. I'd much rather take a shot on a young pup out of the d-league or off someone's summer league team. Preferably someone with size that's willing to bang for his bucks.

I still think Carney is a rotation player, but I'm not really concerned about our backups at this point. If he signs, fine, if he doesn't that fine too.
