BWHAHAHA

Post#1 » by It_Was_Typed » Thu Jul 30, 2009 6:04 pm

The hottest Carlos Boozer tale to blip onto the radar this week: Sources say Memphis had the option of trading for Boozer instead of Zach Randolph earlier this month.

Yet the Grizz decided, apparently with considerable input from coach Lionel Hollins, that Boozer would have been less than thrilled to play out the final season of his contract in Graceland, thus convincing them that Randolph -- starting over for the third time -- would be more productive.

As difficult as it remains for many league observers to digest the idea that Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley felt he could no longer afford Pau Gasol but now is willing to give the combustible Randolph some $33 million over the next two seasons, there's little doubt that Randolph will feature hugely for the Grizz next season.

Given how far away Hasheem Thabeet looked in summer league, Memphis needs a big man who can shoulder a big load. Perhaps Thabeet will be presented as a starter for the Grizz, since he's the No. 2 overall pick, but they will have to put him third on the crunch-time depth chart behind Randolph and Marc Gasol. At best.

ESPN Insider.

Someone shoot me. Better yet, shoot Coach Hollins.

Hollins sucks, Heisley sucks, Chris Wallace is smart. Of course the two idiots have the most say in what moves are made. No wonder this organization is constantly ridiculed- it deserves it.

Obviously Boozer is a better player than Randolph, but if they had got Boozer the Grizz would have had to break up there team. I think it was a good move to get rid of a fat streaky 3 point shooter for a low post scoring threat that was badly needed.

As good as Boozer is as a player, unfortunately his durability isn't as reliable due to his history of injuries.

I always thought Boozer to MEM was an option when there was a hold up with the Zach trade, but i would have never thought that MEM would be the one's turning the Jazz down. They should have used the cap space on Boozer, then trade Boozer and Jaaric to MIA for Haslem, Blount, TOR future first.

wtf

lol, ya'll are amazing.

I love how some of you think that we should have given up one of our core players (Rudy, Oj, Marc) to rent Boozer for one freakin' year.

ya'll whine and bitch about everything the Grizz do... even when its the right thing to DO!!!!!

Boozer would not have resigned with us. Nothing in those articles includes anything about an extension. yet people still bitch about it.

Its absolutely amazing to me. I would have loved to have Boozer but I am not going to give them Rudy, Oj, Conley, or Marc just so Boozer can play for us for one year.

Who's to say the Jazz were asking for O.J., Rudy or Marc?
