For people that are questioning his size. He isnt getting any bigger than what he was, he is what we call in working out "Tonning down" Or "Cleaning up". In reality he will be much quicker and faster than what he was last year cause he isnt carrying around all that fat on his body.

Also by trimming down and turning his fat into leaner muscle, its very obvious that he will be a lot stronger than he was before. I think he looks good and its very obvious he is getting ready for the up and coming season.

Turning fat into muscle is a myth.

It's not a myth but it's not fat straight to muscle either. You can get to big and it can slow you down as well.

You turn the fat into energy which turns into muscle. It's all very confusing.

The more important thing, if you add to much bulk you can get slowed down. Being lighter can make you quick. At the same time Tony is right and if he is working out not to add muscle but to be leaner and more cut he will actually get quicker even if a few pounds are added.
Problem is I can't tell if he added a ton of bulk or got cut. I am assuming he didn't just bulk up like DHoward and hopefully is more like a Lebron body. Lebron is big but he is shredded. He didn't look shredded in that pic and looked bulked like Blake Griffen but it was a close up.

I think hes talking about those idiots who gain fat to turn it into muscle. If not, they are still idiots.

The bigger myth is that a muscular person is necessarily bulky and slow...

I started to come up with a list of muscular quick people but it got rediculously long...

No they are not slow but if you to big you can get slower. I don't think this is the situation but it has happened before. It happened to Sean Kemp after he played Karl Malone and got beat up and out muscled so he came in the following year alot more muscular and he said it slowed him down and he slimmed down. He didn't jump as high and was obviously slower.

Kobe a couple years ago came in huge, all jacked up. Now I think he looked a little slower and it was the only year he was that big.

If you don't think a guy is gonna be quicker at a muscular 250 compared to 290 your crazy. If were talking about toning down like Tony said and lowering your body fat % and of course getting more muscle that's different.
