I don't think non-suns fans would care, It's not like he's Mike Vick or Pac-man Jones.

Raja Bell was among the most popular suns and he wasn't exactly a saint on the basketball court.

Like they said about Cloris Leachman, both KT and Bowen are older than the dirt they sleep in ...

Bowen would be the great addition to teach Dudley all the dirtiest tricks on the court.

Bruce Bowen is now a free agent.
Bowen is a lockdown defender and a decent 3-point shooter. His offense can fit almost perfectly into Alvin Gentry's offensive system, while improving our man-to-man and team defense.
Sign him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, trade Robin Lopez and Sasha Pavlovic for Kurt Thomas and cash or a first-round draft pick.

I'd sign him for vet min in a heartbeat. Keep him on the payroll for when the playoffs come and unleash his "D" against the Spurs and Lakers. We could use him like the Spurs used Horry.

Did anyone see Bowen play this season??? He is the epitome of the term "shell of his former self". Check any stat you possibly can.

I don't get what place a random, nonsensical, stupid political reference has in a thread about Bruce Bowen, nevermind one that wasn't even funny, but whatever.

I think perhaps it was reference to Jon Stewart's comment that the reactionary, inciteful, shock-value-only discourse on Firing Line (or whichever Sunday politico-comment show it was) was actually hurtful to the country and that the hosts were doing a disservice by failing to promote meaningul, thoughtful dialogue.

So the analogy here should be obvious ....

The joke plays on the fact that George W. Bush, upon leaving office, was one of the least popular presidents in our history. That is why it is funny.

And please no Bowen.
