Sun Yue was in the Lakers to bring more hype from the fans in china..basically mitch was thinking Sun could be the fan favorite which he was IMO..for example coby carl..didnt really work out but he WAS a fan favorite.

Was this guy expected to be a good PG?

Correct me if i am wrong but didn't Lakers had the option to send Yue to Memphis instead of Marc Gasol in the Pau Gasol trade?

no, grizzlies had the option to pick either, they obviously wanted marc.

Alright, thanks for answering. I always wondered why the Lakers would not want the Gasol brothers together, LOL.

Appreciation Thread?

I appreciate that Sun is not taking up valuable cap space, not to mention hotel money, food money, airline tickets, medical bills, laundry services, a seat on the bus...

i don't get what all the hate is about, he was like our 15th guy or something, barely ever played and everyone is acting like he burnt down their house or something
he was hardly a determent to the team

how many other team's 15th man is any good?
