TT '09 - DEAD Thread

Post#1 » by ecuhus1981 » Mon Aug 3, 2009 7:09 pm

It seems as though the board has run out of fresh ideas. IMO, though, there are many unsettled trading chips out there, and many teams who have yet to decide a path for their future.

I love these trade tourneys for many reasons, but not the least of which is that it brings out so much creativity from everyone, via competition.

I'll run it, unless someone else wants to do so. I could use at least 3-4 fellow judges to come up with assignments and evaluate proposals. We can determine the tournament size and format from the interest level of participants.

So who's with me?

I'll be a judge if you need one, let me know. *takes homer goggles off, wipes eyelids, puts objective and reasonable glasses on*.

Yeah, preferably this be a scenario type tourney, so people don't just pick their own teams or have just random stuff going on everywhere.

Can I twist your arm into judging? I always prefer to have more judges, because inevitably someone's schedule gets complicated during this process.

That would give us 4 judges and 11 participants. I think I'll keep the invitation open until tomorrow at midnight ET, but we'll have a preliminary round shortly thereafter.

PLEASE keep in mind that the biggest determinant in the success or failure of this trade tournament is YOUR INVOLVEMENT. We'll have assignments and deadlines popping up all the time, and the sooner your can finish your proposals, the faster we can keep the pace.

If you're fairly certain you cannot check the board at least once a day, it may be in everyone's best interest for you to "sit out" this one.

I'm not sure how I feel about two Nets fans judging. God help the first guy that tries to trade Brook Lopez for Lebron and Dwight!

I'm down, but I don't actually know how a Trade Tournament works.

rhey were right for it, the package would have included more and they woldnt have rose or be a contender so it was a great move.
