bowen can't backup pierce. Hell I would stay with tony allen.

Bowen should be there as the 10~15 minutes guy that comes in for defensive purposes.

I don't get it. He can't backup Pierce but he CAN be put in a game for 10-15 minutes? That's basically what we need out of our backup for Pierce. But no, I don't want Bowen at all. Especially if it meant no MD.

It always perplexes me that one of the most underrated skillsets in basketball, in the mind of the fan, is the ability to draw contact and/or play with a degree of physicality. Bowen is a spot up shooter who seldom gets to the charity stripe and when he does, he's atrocious. Daniels, while a slasher, avoids contact. Aside from Pierce and a developing Rondo, Tony Allen is the only ballhandler on the team who attacks the rim. This, of course, leads to free points at the line of which Allen shoots at a respectable clip.

As Pierce ages, it is expected that he will attack the rim with less frequency. So while many of you are caught up in 3 point shooting percentages, I remain a bit more fixated on getting another guy who can bully his way to get high percentage shots and collapse the defense. Tony Allen is an unreliable and limited players, but he does bring the one thing this team truly lacks on the roster. Even moreso with the anticipated loss of Leon Powe.

I have hope for Bill Walker in this regard, but, obviously the jury is still out and it may take another season or two before he knows what the heck he's doing out there.

Bring Daniels onboard. Forget about Bowen. Keep looking for another wing for the bench, but let's not put the sole focus on their perimeter shooting. There are other aspects to consider.
Baylor is Brat.
