It doesn't matter, the winner will have to face the group A winner and I don't see either of these teams (or Finland) beating Portugal (that flat out destroyed Angola in a preparation game yesterday).

Vincent Collet with the help of Larry Brown tried to convince the bulls staff to let Noah play in the french national team. The french team realy needed him, but the bulls staff is so disrespectful...

Playing in the us national team is never an issue when you are Lebron James or Kobe Bryant. If Noah had chosen to play for team usa it would never have happened...

Stern and FIBA really need to found an agreement. It was already the case with Garbajosa, last year with many french players, and this year again... it can't be worst.

If NBA want to have a little more respect in Europe, it have to be standardized. It's unacceptable.

Yes we do. Noah is our best free throw shooter (and i'm not joking).

Tonight against Belgium : 2/4, rest of team... 12/25.

They started with an impressive 0/7 at FT.

Very poor shooting game as usual for the french national team, in a curious and tight win against Hungary (70-69). Nando De Colo won the game in the last possession, all by himself.

Next game: wendsday against Italy.

I read France would be in panic mode (especially considering the Parker injury and the game against Hungary)... is it true?

If Noah and Tony don't come back, maybe we have a chance...

It's not a problem with who's in and who's out, how many NBA players you've got on your team... but team chemistry and being effective with the NT.

1/17 at 3s. 50% at FT. Yes Italy could win... easely. You need to hack-a-frog and that's the end for our hopes.

Jeanneau, Diot and Jackson will join the team:
AFP - 31.07.2009, 15h14

AFP.

Diot and Jackson are in shape. They've got confidence (silver medal in european -20 championship). The first one is a PG (he can take the place of Bokolo) and second is a scorer at 2, a real shooter. 1/17 at 3s yesterday... they need it!

They're good... especially Jackson who has great offensive talent. But i doubt a couple of 89s born player not named Gallinari can make so much difference for a team like France...

I am really impressed with Jackson and i believe that if can get hot for spot minutes will be great help for the France.

Tony Parker has been ruled out for Additional Qualifying Round for Eurobasket. Big blow for France.

He'll miss just the first game against Italy or all the Additional Round games?!?

Big help for us but France is still very dangerous...

There's speculation that Parker may miss Qualifying games, though it hasn't been officially reported. Spurs are said to be "very concerned" about Parker's ankle since he injured before in 2006 WC.

Euro-2009/repêchages - Collet: Parker jouera face à la Finlande samedi
AFP - 03.08.2009, 20h55

AFP.

He will certainly play saturday.

Italy will beat France. You can bring all the NBA players you want but I'll take Belinelli, Soragna, Mancinelli, Gigli, and Bargnani any day over a bunch of guys trying to play an NBA style in an international setting.
