Re: VC Back In NJ October 30th
wow, so were gonna start out 4-0 on the road and 0-3 at home.
I just went through the entire schedule, is it really that insane to think the nets will go 40-42? of course im predicintg we will sweep the knicks and raptors. so more realisticly maybe something like this past season say maybe like 36 or 38 wins?

Washington and Charlotte are nothing to sneeze at this year. I actually see us going 5-12 to start out, but I do think we will end up with 35-40 wins.

Re: VC Back In NJ October 30th
I'm starting to think 20-30 wins tops.Lfranks gets fired and we get a good lottery pick.2010-11 season we have a new coach and our young guys with a little more experience, we might make the playoffs.
Its gonna be a long season.Hopefully I'm wrong cuz i'd be perfectly happy making the playoffs this year. But i still want Lfranko outa here.

Frank deserves to stay...just cause the nets suck right now doesnt mean he should be fired....he is the hardest working coach in the NBA. If you want to say that he did have a great team with kidd carter and Jeff, well then I will say blame it on us. The nets have never had any energy in the building...even when fans go to the game they are quiet...you expect players to be pumped up and engergized when its quiet...its so bad I dont know if you remember K dool trying to firing up the fans and then they started booing him...God I cant wait till we go to Brookyln. It is no ones fault we are just located in the middle of nowhere.

Re: VC Back In NJ October 30th
How do you people really expect us to win 6-7 more games when we traded away our best player. Doesn't make any sense..

I didnt know the Nets traded Harris. VC was good while he was here but he was not the Vince we knew when he was in Toronto. Hes going to do better in Orlando because he knows he has a chance. I say Harris was our best player last season. VC's best days are behind him.

We're gonna win 20-25 games next season. Book it. Granted to do that Lee, Devin, Yi and Brook all need to have solid games with 2-3 other role players putting up decent stats for the game, but it will happen. I doubt we'll beat any team considered to be a top 10 team in the league but we can win 25% of our games at worst in my opinion.
Yeah we're not firing Frank by the way...we're letting him walk after the season lol. Guy couldn't win with a good team either. He doesn't make the proper in game/in season adjustments. He's basically a poor man's Mike Brown. Even with Lebron and Shaq, Cavs aren't winning a title as long as Mike Brown is coach. He let STAN VAN GUNDY OUTCOACH HIM. But back to Frank, he's not a horrible coach, just not a coach to take his team to the next level regardless of the talent level. Greg Popovich or Jerry Sloan could get 35 wins out of this team somehow I'm positive. Frank getting us 25 wins will be a success for him in my book.

It could go either way really has to who was our bets player last year, but, the fact remains Vince was a 20+ scorer, one of our best passers and 3 point shooters. You replace that with courtney lee that had a PER lower than Ryan anderson last years and I have no idea why people in here think we'll win 7 mores games than we did last year.
Also, the east got a lot better. Toronto, Boston, Orlando, Washington, Detroit and Cleveland all got better while Chicago, Philly, Pacers and Hawks all stand to get better since they have Key players coming back from injuries. Really... How can some of you expect us to be a 40 win team next year??...

I couldnt care less about PER ratings and all that nosense. Lee is clearly better than Anderson. The kid can play ball. I know the nets are going to lose every game to orlando, cleveland, boston and detroit. but they got a shot against teams like toronto, philly, indiana, atlanta and washington and the remaining east teams. 20-25 wins seems too low in my opinion. i really think they can win around the same amount of games as last season.

Re: VC Back In NJ October 30th
^^I wasn't comparing to Anderson and Lee I'm just saying that the guy replacing a guy who gave us 20 PPG has a PER lower than our throw-in in the trade. How do you really expect us to win as many games when the talent level is clearly lower than last year all the while the rest of the east keeps getting better.
No way are we up to par with Atlanta, Toronto, Washington or Philly. Indiana seems like the only team I can honestly see us winning against. The others seem like heavy favorites IMO.

Al Iannazonne in his latest blog predicts 22-26 wins. I'm right there.

I think its always possible to make the playoffs in the East.No way Detroit beats us every game this year, there not gonna be that good.Philly won't be as good without Miller,he brought that team to the next level. The Nets are better than or right there with the Wiz,Bobs,Pacers,Bucks and Bulls if you ask me so theres always a chance to get it in.

Someone make a mental note of this:
If we make the playoffs with our game 1 roster, I'll get a Nets tattoo.
Thank god I know they won't make the playoffs.

How are we "right there" with The bulls or the Wiz??
Chicago made the playoffs last year with one of their best player injured most of the season. Sure they lost Gordon but the return of Deng and Rose getting better I'm pretty sure they're the better team. The wiz on paper are also a way better team, Jamison, Butler, Miller, Foye, Haywood and Arenas seems like a good core to do some damage in the playoffs.. No way we're close to these 2 teams..
