last night luis castill twists ankle going down the stairs, today jon niese hurts his hamstring covering 1b.

we get it, fun time is over ... there's no more blood for me to bleed and i'm not gonna give you my tears.

I'll tell you who it was. It was the **** who was talking **** to me on a giants board that the mets were better than the yankees and that Joba sucks. I kept telling him he was wrong, and when i asked him how it was going last week he blocked me on aim.

Yeah, the injuries are tough, but the Mets didn't do anything at the deadline, and didn't make an attempt to improve their team. They could have had somebody like Victor Martinez, instead they overvalued their prospects. Don't feel sorry for them. Everybody gets injuries.

what would victor martinez do?? trading holt and/or mejia for him is idiotic since those 2 are top pitching prospects in all of baseball.

mets aren't good and a lot of met fans want a top 15 protected pick ... although we all know they'll end the year #16 and overpay holliday giving the cardinals their 1st rounder.

mets currently have #10 and i have my eyes on bryce brentz :wordyo:

Holt? The same guy with a 5 ERA in AA? 23 years old, no less...

Your organization really needs to quit overvauling their prospects... we saw the same thing last year with Daniel Murphy, who your organization thought was so good that he would not be included in any deal.... turns out he is a player without a position who can't hit.

Not every prospect that comes through the Mets organization is going to be a keeper.

Not every prospect that comes through the Mets organization is going to be a keeper.

holt has been in a slump the past 3-4 starts but overrall he's a top pitching prospect, his overall era is 4.22.

and murphy was never a top prospect in the mets farm system. the mets top 5 in order is mejia, fmart, flores, davis, and holt.

i highly doubt that the Yankees would have a good record without Cano, A-Rod, and Tex. That is the equivalent of what the Mets are dealing with. Reyes and Cano are about equals, A-Rod is better than Delgado but their power numbers are similar, and Tex and Beltran are both the best defensive players at their position while being awesome hitters.

We suck, but it is because Minaya was handed Wright and Reyes on a silver platter from the previous regime, and all he has done is add Santana, Beltran, Delgado, and K-Rod while spending an additional 80 million dollars a year on bums like Perez.

I don't think he was handed either one. I believe he was here when we got both. Now about the deadline, the only thing we should have done is sell some of our vets. Ripping our system for Martinez or anybody would have been dumb, since our season is lost.

Steve Phillips drafted Wright with the pick we got for letting Mike Hampton walk, and Reyes was signed in like 2001 before Minaya came here. Minaya hasn't done anything to help the farm system grow besides the IFA's which will come to the Mets no matter what because we are an NY team. We need someone who actually knows how to build a winner and Minaya has shown he can't. We have the same team we had in 2006 with Santana instead of Glavine, K-Rod instead of Wagner, and downgrades in the outfield. He just deserves to be fired, he should have been fired as soon as he gave 36 million to someone who has never been consistent,or when he traded for a pitcher that everyone and their mother could tell was injured last year.

its the curse of shea stadium. the mets move just accross the street but let some company pay for the rights to name the stadium. kinda corny in my humble opinion. i understand its all about making money but hey the yankees moved accross the street and didnt sell out to some company. maybe its bad karma. yanks keep the name and are winning. mets change the name and the team gets hit with an UNUSUAL amount of bad luck. i HATE the mets but even i can say that they have been hit with a strange amount of injuries and thats why they are so terrible. dont get me wrong tho. im LOVIN it. KARMA maybe.

lol @ yankee fans talking smack...

it's always great entertainment watching them choke in the playoffs to a team with 1/2 their payroll every year...it's even going to be better this year watching them choke it up after spending all that money on cc, burnett and tex

This is the Mets, it is what they do. They are kinda like a team out of Philadelphia, but they will win something every now and then, but then under-perform and disappoint. As a Mets fan, you need to know this. You also have to know why they sometimes get the nickname "The Muts".
