Last I checked, Hiller has played a lot more career games than Varlamov, and Byron took him to start the 3rd round. Goalies are at a premium and everyone knows Mike is going to draft 5 in the first 8 rounds so I might as well get 2 very quality ones early since I dont pick for another 15-20 spots or so.

Plus, he seems to be the clear #1 guy going into the season after a dominant post season. And last year in the regular season he had a better GAA and SV% than Nabokov, Kiprusoff, Fleury, Brodeur and Lundqvist.

Hiller was an excellent pick, he's a great goalie on a great young defensive minded team. He'll serve well as a top 10-or-so fantasy goalie this season.

mike snatching up two premiere goalies with his first two picks.. nice strategy, unexpected and sneaky.. not questioning the mason pick so much anymore as i wasnt thinking at the time of the pick that this is a keeper league
