The whining, or what could be perceived as it...at least he didn't bad mouth or blame anyone. It didn't have that kinda tone to me at all. Just personal frustration. I can take that

I think theres a difference between being a camwhore for viewers and just pointlessly cursing and saying "I just saw my dog bust a nut!", what Marbury is doing is just interactive marketing, that fake Twitter is just stupid.

Why pass on reporting those but jump all over these? When, as multiple people have pointed out, it's not even a certified membership?

If you don't wanna read a conspiracy theory, then stop reading. Otherwise, does anyone else think it's possible that the Celtics asked the Globe/WEEI to leak this story in an attempt to damage Baby's image, perhaps give them an out from resigning him without much public opposition? I understand that we have since learned it wasn't him, but the newspaper corrections column doesn't usually get as much press as the headlines.

Frankly, this whole problem is Big Baby and his agent's own fault. If I recall, they're the ones that pushed for him to have the two year contract so he could get to free agency early, hoping his value would beat the RFA system. It didn't and now he's upset about it.

First of all he is going to get more than he would have by signing a 3 year deal just by taking the QO, that will put him in line with the third year of a late first round draft pick, job done. I am sure he wishes he was in Leon Powe or Gabe Pruitt's shoes right now.

He isn't trying to "beat the system," this is the system. Nobody should agree to minimum salary contracts that are longer than 2 years. Restricted FA sucks, but it doesn't suck more or less after year 2,3,4. If he gets 3 years and 9 mil he will have made as much as a late lottery pick over his first 5 years.

How about not reporting about tweets from an unverified account? Or at least acknowledging it in the initial report. Or maybe apologizing for not specifying it when this update happened? Yeah, I saw that. The worst part was the headline: "Big Baby Glen Davis cries imposter about tweeting tantrum"--the Herald is basically half-assedly printing a retraction which not-so-subtlely questions whether Baby is lying about the whole thing. A retraction which undercuts itself? Yeah, and no mention that they were the first media outlet to report the 'tweets' as fact. Mark Murphy is kinda shady if you ask me--bush league journalism. 5 minutes of Internet research would have uncovered the fact that the supposed Baby Twitter page was unverified.
