I was kind of hoping we would see Victor at catcher right away. Oh well. Had an alright game.

If beckett pitches like that every game, we will only need that one run batted in.

He is going to be catching Clay today in the finale.

The next 5 games are huge, should be an absolute JOY to watch Penny against the Ray's offense tonight and then Smoltz against the Yankees. Wouldn't surprise me to see Buch **** his pants on Saturday.

Wow, that was one pathetic series!

Nick Green playing left field?!?! Way to line things up ahead of time Theo.
Jed Lowrie shouldn't be playing right now.
Penny, Smoltz and Bucholz have turned out to be spineless cowards by falling apart when the org. needs them the most. Atleast with the latter two there remains a slim chance of hope though.
Josh Reddick needs to be up here, we need a competent 5th of. Drew and Bay are falling apart.

A competent 5th OF??? Au contraire my friend, what we really need is a solid LF and RF. I think Bay just gave up at some point in June and JD is being, well... JD. I'd make up some bull injury for JD and stick Reddick in there for a couple of weeks, he certainly couldn't do much worse and might actually bring some energy to this team.

Well I was taking the hopeful approach, but your scenario is much more plausible.

Bay needs to turn it around, his grandkids' wealth depends on it.

I try not to overstate myself when it comes to baseball, but this could very well be the series that breaks our back. Or we could sweep and come out of this hellhole back in 1st with the birdsa' chirping. Who knows with this team.

I don't udnerstand why we put the best defensive first baseman in the league and probably one of the best defensive third basemen in the league in left field. Makes no sense whatsoever.

I guess it's better than putting Nick friggin Green in left field.

They don't think he'll get to New York on time, hence Youk in left.

Ugh. Pitcher in the 8th, clearly threw at Pedroia. Twice.

I guess the retaliation will have to wait.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH at this game so far. Goodness our offense sucks serious ass. Losing out on Teixera is going to have ramifications for years.

Return to Boston Red Sox
