Re: Official: Grizz sign Marcus Williams
For what he will be asked to do (15 minutes a game, get the ball to your scorers, and be an asset and not a detriment on defense) his signing makes sense. He is a decent player but in no way is he a threat to the starting job. In fact Big Poppa said this week do not be surprised if they sign another point guard as well, which says a couple of things. First they have a lot of confidence in Sam Young being the backup 2 guard and secondly the signing of the point guard would likely be a veteran who is actually the backup to Conley. Wallace did not say it was set in stone but said it was a possibility they could go in that direction. Marcus is glad to be back in the league and I am happy for him, but please stop trying to make his signing the second coming of #45.
