I am not a soccer fan but this is a pretty huge event. Would be comparable to the LA Lakers playing some B-level euroleague basketball team. I would like to go even though i dont' know/get soccer. (at all)

btw - funny how a mod can put up a thread about who the hottest sportscaster in toronto is, and it is left here. A thread about UFC is moved to off-topic.

Because we already have a thread about the event and because we have our own OT board which is a great privilege.

I bet every board wishes they had their own OT section.

Tix are a fortune. Guess they gotta pay Real and the $250,000 grass turf they laid down.

Hope there's more international club games to come though. I'd kill to see Juve.

Anyone see the Puerto Rico game earlier this week?

Honestly I hope we have no friendlies next season.

The schedule is packed as it is and these games are really holding TFC back.

RM's stars will most likely play for the first half at least... And I just want us to make a good game of it, even if we'll look severely out-classed at times.

Also hope we can sneak in a few nice tackles in on Cronoldo. ;)

Pretty decent T.O. sports night considering there's no Leafs and Raptors yet. TFC/Real Madrid, the World Series players' reunion happening during the Orioles/Jays game and the horrible Argos vs. Als... all on at about the same time.

They moved a league game in order to get Real Madrid here. The priority should have been making the playoffs and advancing in CCL - not a high profile cash grab.

As much as I love the beautiful game, those ticket prices are ridiculous.

Ticket prices for this exhibition game are outrageous. MLSE at it's finest.

Should be interesting. Nice to host such a high calibre team here. Hopefully we aren't too embarrased.

Real didn't look good at all during the Peace Cup.
Kaka's certainly going to make a difference though. Is Xabi Alonso with the team right now?
