Arenas

Post#1 » by Bernier » Fri Aug 7, 2009 6:54 pm

Any thoughts on where he should be drafted, *will* be drafted, and basic stat projections? Will he return to anything close to former self? Things to consider - Flip Saunders as coach, the games he played last season (admittedly a very small sample size) he had lots of assists with poor FG% and thus not many points, new offensive weapons on the Wiz (Miller, Foye), good reports/rumors thus far on how he's looked and his level of dedication plus the likely huge chip on his shoulder.

Thoughts?

Do you mean the Wade of last year? My gut tells me you are right on.

I'd say he will go somewhere between 30 & 40. He should have a decent season but wont bouınce back to the top-8 status that he had before injury. He should have similar stats to Devin Harris with much more three's(around 2.2 3's) but lesser fg% (around 42%)and slighlty lesser assists (around 6.5).

Speaking of Arenas. In a keeper league, what order do you guys think these should rank if I were to choose one keeper from this list here below:

Kevin Durant, Josh Smith, Gilbert Arenas or Shawn Marion.

Durant by a wide margin. After Durant, Arenas-Smith-Marion

I'd keep them in the order you listed.
