Keep It Real!!!

Post#1 » by iamworthy » Sat Aug 8, 2009 2:51 am

What did you post in the past that people were hating on that you were right or some what right? Its time to give props to the people who was right but got hated on.

I'll go first.

1. 2 years ago I said we would win 57 games...we won something like 55, 56 or 58 games.
2. last year I said we would win 66 games and we won 65.
3. I said trade Yao Ming early this season and look what happened.
4. I said Lebron would not win a ring in the NBA and the way its looking he wont. Lakers will be dominant for the next 5 years. Then you have Portland, and other young teams that will stay together to build a unstopable force. It takes a team to win. LBJ is good. But he cant win by himself...see finals agasinst spurs.

What were you right about that you got hammered about.....HOLLA!!!

I said we would lose Trevor............(see thread about David Lee that I wrote). Can't remember if I got hated on but I know I was damn right.

I'm a guy who'll tell you what you don't like to hear, we all need to realize Trevor won't be a Laker next fall.

Alot. Alot alot but I used to open up a thread everytime something came to my head so it's hard to remember and I don't know if thats fair.

Kevin Durant was 1 thing I got laughed at before and how good he will be.
I said Shane Battier was the best wing defender in the league over a year ago and got laughed at.
It's so hard because I have said alot of wrong/right things.

I said the Lakers were going to get destroyed in the 2008 Finals. I was called a fake fan, an idiot, crackhead, (Please Use More Appropriate Word) and knew nothing about basketball.

I said that Greece would beat the U.S. again in the Olympics just like Greece did in 2006 against Melo and Lebron, but I was wrong and everyone made sure to laugh at me!

Even though I was wrong, i just wanted to rub it in again that Greece did beat the U.S. in 2006 =)

I posted this at the draft but I guessed Mitch's pick on Crittenton and then Farmar, neither has panned out to be much, but I was pumped at those drafts none the less.

i predicted that lamar would accept a bench role and create a title worthy frontcourt (yeah, what a stretch) while at least one poster predicted lamar would never come off the bench, would be a waste of money, would be traded asap, and if he wasn' t would never be resigned.

I predicted Brown would help us, that Yue was the PG of the future, that Kobe would be traded and that the T Wolves would win it all...

I'm the GM of the TWolves for reals. Respect my judgement

I don't think anyone predicted that we would get Pau Gasol for what we got him for. Many basketball fans consider that one of the most lopsided trades in league history.

At that time, yea. Now? Teams are dumping All-Stars just for expiring contracts.

I said I would be the crap out of a Suns fan. I did. One of my aquintances is a mother loving Suns fan and I pinned him to the ground and made him submit jiu-jitsu style.

Still working on running over a fan wear a Steve Nash jersey though. Nash doesn't sell many jerseys does he?

I really predicted (or imagined) Kobe dunking on Nash when Nash stole that MVP when Kobe had the best season in 19 years.

Then bam it happened.

I mean I had it all, nuts in the face... here is your MVP and bam it happened.

I couldn't make the shot go in vs. Shaq in the 1st game "justice prevails"

I FELT GUILTY

RJ being gay although that one is not confrimed. I know the jokes will come thats why Im a fan of his but it's not, I didn't realize he was gay to well after I was already a fan and I heard him do an interview and he was talking about his love for Kmart and his favorite show sex and the city with a really gay voice.

one thing i remember very clearly is that 95% of this lakers board was on the 'lamar odom hater bandwagon' up until the cavs and celtics games.
i know for a damn fact that i was one of the very very very very few that stuck on to odom's danglers and believed in him....

look at him now
1. showed loyalty to the lakers
2. stated money second and winning first
3. accepted the bench role
4. best personality on the team, by far
5. his re-signing made the lakers heavy favorites for next year

so i was right, majority was wrong BOOM BOOM POW

I'll keep it real. I was on LO like a big dog when he was messin up. I dont know if I every said trade him but....oh wait....I was on the LO for Artest trade bandwagon... 8-) But at the same time I thought he was the pippen to Kobe's Jordan. That didnt work out. He in now a great 6 man. I love LO as a team guy. I agree with the best persoanlity comment.
