It is not possible to get both Artest and Ariza. I do not know where you get that. I am sure Ariza prefers to stay here over Houston, but he is not going to stay here for 3-4 mill per. That does not make sense. At that price - Houston is a better option.

He is not getting Sasha money from the Lakers and Kupcake is not a douche to offer 3-4mil/per

Look I can understand your point, but it is not impossible no matter how "bad" of a deal it would be to take less money to play for a championship team and show the league you deserve a bigger pay day. He took the sure thing, but the sure thing shows he feels he's only MLE talent due to the length of the deal.

1) Ariza allowed Lee to represent him poorly and go to the media instead of keeping it in house. After 2004 the Lakers prefer to keep everything in house. If your name isnt Kobe or Shaq its a really bad idea to make public statements... its not equality, its the NBA

2) Ariza made public statements he was all about the $, there was no home team discount, there was no contender discount, Ariza wanted to get paid

3) All reports were that the Lakers and the Rockets made the exact same offer

4) The Lakers let it be known to Ariza (according to Mitch) that it was a time sensitive deal because the Lakers had to act soon and Ariza didn't jump. In the end he choose to play for the Rockets even though the Lakers and the Cavs made him the exact same offer... full MLE.

I come to the conclusion that at Arizas young age he (like Marbury, Joe Joshson, Shawn Marion and many others) wants a bigger role than the starter on a championship team.

I think thats shocking but I hope like Marion that someday Ariza plays for a contender again.

The Lakers gave Ariza what NY and Orlando did not and he should send a thank you card to the Lakers and Luke Walton for getting him his 30 mil contract
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
