I like the signing of Eaves. If the Pens had an open roster spot, I would have hoped GM Shero would have taken a chance on him. Surround him with talent, and I think he will succeed.

Yeah, no arguments here. Detroits system always will have people playing above average (see: Samuelsson, who i expect to be garbage in Van). If he is on the second line especially, he will be set up to succeed.

I'd like to see Eaves play with Datsyuk or Zetterberg. I think he could put up at least 25 goals with one of them.

not sure i like this as i thought our line combos were setting up beautifully without him

After watching Bert play for a year here in Calgary. . . .glad he is in Detroit!

I have never seen a player skate east west as much as him. When he was parked in front of the net, or going right up the middle, he always seemed to have his stick in the right place. But those times were few and far between.
