i know for a damn fact that i was one of the very very very very few that stuck on to odom's danglers and believed in him....

look at him now
1. showed loyalty to the lakers
2. stated money second and winning first
3. accepted the bench role
4. best personality on the team, by far
5. his re-signing made the lakers heavy favorites for next year

so i was right, majority was wrong BOOM BOOM POW

I'll keep it real. I was on LO like a big dog when he was messin up. I dont know if I every said trade him but....oh wait....I was on the LO for Artest trade bandwagon... 8-) But at the same time I thought he was the pippen to Kobe's Jordan. That didnt work out. He in now a great 6 man. I love LO as a team guy. I agree with the best persoanlity comment.

Actually I'm on it worse now. LO pissed me off. So if he comes with that dumb play again this season, sign me up for all the Odumb threads.

Hell yeah Lamar knew how to piss off some fans bad. He had some of the dumbest plays ever. Passing the ball to Sasha when he was standing near our bench was one of the dumbest and funniest things I have witnessed in basketball. I remember when Drew went down there were so many threads about trading Lamar for Rasheed and other players. But as soon as he got to start he played great. I think the fact that he knew that he would have that guaranteed playtime allowed him to play so good last season. I'll admit that sometimes when Lamar screwed I used to get so mad and wouldn't really have cared if he was traded. But I regret that because if Lamar didn't step up we wouldn't have won a championship this year.

I have gained so much respect for him because of the things he did for this Lakers team. If this was last off season and Lamar was a free agent then I think most fans wouldn't really have cared much if we didn't resign Lamar but things are way different now. Lamar "The Candy Man" Odom has become one of my favorite players and would hate it if he were on any other team but the Lakers.

I was dead wrong on KG. I might even have guaranteed that he would be a Laker one day. Thought the Kobe/KG legacy was planned in basketball heaven. Embarrassing, really.

Last season, I predicted:
• 65-17,
• Championship
• Finals opponent the Magic,
• Kobe finals mvp,
• LBJ mvp.

Unwavering Odom supporter since the day he became a Laker. Used to describe him as a human swiss knife, a player who is unselfish to a fault and never stops doing whatever intangibles his team needs him to do the most, regardless of credit, glory and spotlight. I used to combat those who said "Odom will never be on a championship team". Phil X, myself and a few more against the world (and Kobot). Good times.

Unwavering Bynum supporter since before he was drafted. Called for us drafting him. Can't really say I was wrong, since we just won a ring with him as a starting center. However, I predicted much more for him than what we've seen so far. Next season, the beast will finally be unleashed in its full glory!

It was not a popular stance to take here, but I always did say Kobe was not a mature leader. Until mid last season, when he finally started to lead his team mates, in what my opinion is the right way. Phil Jackson supported this, when asked about the most rewarding thing about the tenth ring season, he said: "To watch Kobe transform from being just a demanding guy, to becoming someone his team mates want to follow." I took much heat from many for criticizing Kobe's leadership, using similar analysis to that of Phil's above. I even criticized his leadership throughout the season he won the MVP. I didn't do it often, for obvious reasons, but I did go to serious battle over this a few times. It was a constant on my "Player Improvement Suggestion" off-season threads.

Against the Boozer trade.

Against the Artest trades.

Against the Harrington trade.

Oh, and I've said no to pretty much every other trade proposal that has been presented on these boards. I was right on pretty much all of them, I think. How many RGM poster suggested trades have really gone down?

I had a weird feeling Artest would be a Laker one day after I heard a rap line talking about Artest and Kobe about 5 years ago but I thought it was to good to be true.

My prediction is messed up but I can't help it. Whoever takes over for Phil will really underachive if it's an assistant and they will have to hire a real coach.
