This is the jersey that is being discussed on the board. While it has the "new" logo, it looks more like the red "Phila" alternates they wore last year than the original '83s.

I e-mailed somebody with the Sixers, but haven't heard back. Would guess that's right, but don't know for sure.

Ivey officially re-signed, giving the Sixers 11 under contract with Brezec happening later this week.

Was told this is the Sixers' road jersey.

Sure. Good question, SF. I totally forgot about it. Will see what I can find out. Heard rumblings that Donyell Marshall could be a long shot, but don't know how accurate that is.

Donyell said on Daily News Live that he would be interested, so he may have put himself in the mix.

Tom, do you know why Ivey would have been signed at this point in time while some better options are still available.

Holiday seems to have the same defensive ability as Ivey, but with greater chances of producing offensively this season and a much brighter future. Hopefully signing very low end free agents means the young players on the Sixers will get a lot of minutes.

Mad Dog has my vote.

As for Donyell, hope they add him. He's a great vet to teach these guys the ropes... and he can shoot.

Stefanski said Jordan liked him. Seems like Sixers thought he was the best option at or near the veterans' minimum.

Stefanski, when asked if the Sixers will be as good or better than they were in going with 41-41 with Miller last year: “You know it’s going to be interesting to see how the preseason goes. You have ‘ifs’ at spots, just like everyone else does. Can Lou Williams take those added minutes that he’s going to get? How fast will Jrue Holiday progress is another factor? And how will the guys adapt to the new style of offense that (new head coach Eddie Jordan is) going to put in? They’re the things that are question marks that are going to have to be answered. We’ll be playing differently without Andre, no question about that. But I don’t think different means we’re not going to be as good.”

So now I read that we are one of 3 teams interested in Jason Hart. I thought Royal Ivey was our "veteran PG"? There's probably at least 10 names I would put ahead of Hart if we are really looking to add another PG.

That statement says a lot about how ed feels about lou. Basically he saying that lou will be on a short leash and that he is not going to be given a legit shot. He is going to continue to be hamstrung. Ed is showing very little confidence in Lou's ability to step up. If Lou plays it safe, like i think the sixers want him to, he will be undermining his own career for a team that is really not going to far this year anyway. The sixers have always looked at him as a spark off of the bench, when in reality he should have been starting over green. Eventually, he will be relegated to bench duty. And Jrue will start. If I'm Lou, i would not be a willing participant in my own demise. Its going to be interesting how lou plays it. Are they expecting only 14 pts and 6 assists out of Lou? If that is his production he is not playing to his strengths and he is going to wind up on the bench.

What's with the Lou Williams obsession?

He's going to have adapt to the starting PG position, and there are questions as to whether he can do that.

And what do you mean "only 14 pts and 6 assists"? Those would be pretty solid numbers for him. That's a huge increase in his assist total, and I would expect him to be shooting the ball at a lower rate in a starting role rather than as a spark off the bench.

Jason Hart isn't gonna beat Lou outta the rotation. But he's a useless addition.

I didn't get that at all from his statements. They have a lof of "what if's", and Lou is one of them.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say 'plays it safe'. Are you referring to more of a traditional PG role?
