I guess Marbury is out of picture
I found this on celticsblog.com
The Celtics are still working to complete a sign-and-trade deal for Indiana guard Marquis Daniels. If not, Boston will sign Daniels to the $1.9 million biannual exception. Boston no longer has interest in re-signing guard Stephon Marbury.

Where is the last line from?
A few things:
If we got Daniels in a trade would be use the LLE on Starbury? LLE gone, will starbury get a better offer than the vet min?
I think regardless of Danials Starbury comes here.

If they were so bent on bringing Marbury back then why haven't they offered House up in any trade to bring Daniels in for more money? Marbury said don't put him in a box, which meant his cauffin, because there aren't any other teams that want him. There are no minutes left to bring in Marbury with House and Daniels here. Marbury was wanted before we made an agreement with Daniels, but it was Marbury who turned that offer away. Would I bring Marbury back? Yes, but only if House was traded to open minutes up for Marbury, but I think we see who Ainge would rather have at this point. Bring in Lue on a non-gaurenteed contract to battle with Hudson for that last spot.

ditto, the dude is nuts. Not that I'm not wishing him the best, but the kg era will be well and done when time heals marbury's wounds.

We need House. He may be a one trick pony but if Daniels can't shoot we need him as a shooter. I don't trus tMarbs enough to be a shooter off the bench, considering how inconsistant he was last year (granted he was rusty). House has done too much for the Celtics this past year and knows the system we are better off keeping him.

^^^ This. You can never have too many shooters on the team. And right now the Celtics only have a handful.

Minimum and then you wave him if he goes off the crazy end.
I would love to see him come in, starting the season with the team, minicamp etc.
You can't deny he has superstar caliber basketball skills.
Seems low risk. I don't picture him being a strong enough personality to mess with the workmanlike attitude of the core. And he can't be more dangerous than Bassy or TA in terms of likelyhood to get shot or likely hood to shoot someone else. Worse case scenario the team has to buy some extra Vaseline.

Um, I think you can. He certainly HAD superstar caliber skills, but I don't think he does anymore. Didn't he shoot about 32% with us? He had a good amount of time to round into NBA shape, and still couldn't get it done in more than 1/5 games.

Re: I guess Marbury is out of picture
well we need a true point and I hate lue.
if he's not here I lose no sleep about it.
However, I still think he is the best FA option left at the point guard spot.

Wait...not so fast!
SOURCE.
Settling Davis’s situation could accelerate the addition of Daniels, since Davis had been named in possible sign-and-trades. Daniels will likely affect the roster spots for draft choice Lester Hudson and free agent Stephon Marbury. No decisions have been finalized on either player, Ainge said.

I'd love to have Marbury back for one year. I wish they could send Hudson to Europe for a year. That would be ideal.

Also in that article Baby says he's working on extending his range out to the 3. I really think we might see a Ryan Gomes type small forward transition from him.

Re: I guess Marbury is out of picture
It is sad what has happened to Marbury. The man has lost it. To some of us he may be funny and to others he may be nuts. Maybe he's a little of both. I wish him the best. I know he had issues with the knicks and I believe he had family issues recently (immediate family member passing away, i think it was his dad). He also had been seeing a shrink while playing for the Celtics last year. I remember seeing an article that it was helping him get his $hit back together and on the right path.
Not sure what has happened since then but it is sad. From an organziation point of view, you just cannot have someone on your team like that. You never know which player is going to show up.....the quiet Marbury we saw on the team last year or the one that's on the web now acting crazy. I believe he even said in his webcast that he knows he had ADD....but he think he might be bi-polar......not sure about you fellas but when someone says they think they might be bi-polar and then acts it out......i don't think he's lying.
I wish him well. From an organization point of view they can find another suitable PG to bring up the ball to half court and then pass it off and go run in hide in a corner. The second team will now have more fire power at the other positions (after Daniels signing) that it won't be necessary to have a scoring PG as a back up.
