Who will have the most All Star games played?

Post#1 » by norcal07 » Wed Aug 12, 2009 8:23 pm

The Kings have really good young players with potential. Since the Kings haven't an All Star participant since Peja and C-Webb, who will be representing the Kings the most in the future? Spencer Hawes? Jason Thompson? Kevin Martin? Donte Greene? My pick is Tyreke Evans, he should become the leader of the young team at the PG position and will be a consistent play maker for the Kings' squad.

Tyreke will lead in appearances. I think JT and Hawes will make appearances as well. Perennial allstars? Who knows.

Brad Miller made it one year I thought?

As for present KIngs players to me it looks like Tyreke Evans will be the guy. IF he can consistantly draw a double team or beat his man AND find the open man when it happens. Hawes, JT, KMart, Noc and Garcia will all have great years if Tyreke can pull the defenders his way.

The West has too many good guard for Tyreke and Martin to make the team, so I'm going to say Hawes has the best chance since there arent as many good young Centers

I checked and Brad played in 02/03 for Indy and 03/04 for Sacto.

He was probaly picked by the coaches but that is pretty darn good for a player that went undrafted.

Hawes. Less competition for centers to make the allstar team. And, if he can put up good numbers this year, with yao out, he would only need to beat out Okafor, Nene, Okur, Biedrins, Bynum, and Camby. To have a shot at the ASG.

But this all depends on how the league rigs the voting. Will Al Jefferson be a on the ballot as a Center or PF? Same with Gasol? Same with Duncan? Amare Stoudamire?

IMO out of the real centers in the west, Hawes if he could put up 16/10+ (which isn't that unreasonable), he would have a good shot at making the all star team THIS YEAR. But again, I figure the league rigs it so Duncan and/or Gasol and/or Amare will be considered a "center" on the ballot.

But, this just proves the few number of quality centers in the league, and that Hawes has a good shot at being an allstar many times. And at only 21 years old, he has time on his side. He is years younger than Thompson, and plays a less competitive position than Martin or Evans. Thus Hawes has the best chance at being a perennial all star.

if anyone makes it its going to be Evans, because he is that good or Hawes, just simply of the weakness in the C position

Thanks I couldn't remember if he got an All star appearance or not. But I do know that C-Webb and Peja both got in one year.

Hawes.

Evan's is going to have to beat out Paul, Deron, Roy, Kobe, Mayo, + more every single year

I agree with DENIED. I think Tyreke's competition is going to be very tough, and Hawes has the advantage of playing at the leagues thinnest position. Tyreke might make it once or twice, possibly more if he becomes the star we all hope he will, but I think Hawes has the best chance of being an all star consistently because of his position.

I'm also with deNIEd for once. Evans will be GOOD, but he's unfortunate enough to play a position that has no shortage of talent. Hawes will be GOOD too, and there isn't as many talented centers in the league.

Future Competition

PG: Paul, Deron, Westbrook
SG: Mayo, Roy, Gordon
SF: Durant,
PF: Griffin, Love, Aldridge, Green, Randolph
C : Oden, Bynum, Jefferson, Horford

Wow really? No other SF's?

PG and SG are the strongest IMO. With PF a 3rd. Hawes and Nocioni have the best shot!

Hawes could easily be the 3rd or 4th best player on this team, yet be the only allstar lol. Well maybe not easily...but it is possible.

Hawes if he pans out and Oden ends up as what he's starting to look like.

Atlanta is apart of the Eastern Conference right?

Was there a trade that I missed?

I don't see how Carmelo Anthony doesn't qualify, especially if Deron Williams does. They're only a few weeks apart in age, and at least Melo has actually made a couple all-star games before.

Ugh lol. Somehow I got Horford and Melo switched.

PG: Paul, Deron, Westbrook
SG: Mayo, Roy, Gordon
SF: Durant, Melo
PF: Griffin, Love, Aldridge, Green, Randolph
C : Oden, Bynum, Jefferson

Evans will have the hardest time, then Martin, then Thompson, with Hawes having the easiest.
