Well, he's almost 32, and has had a couple of oopsies with the steroids. He's an all-or-nothing swinger, and it's a pretty safe bet that people will stop throwing him fastballs if he keeps hitting fastballs. I'm glad that he has gotten his chance, but the odds of him sticking long-term are fairly slim.


Everything you said is valid Shad, but you shouldn't validate a crazy argument with a frank and reasonable response. Ruiz is a career minor leaguer, and just because he's hit two homers in two games doesn't mean that he''s worth dropping your most talented position player for nothing.
