They are both solid #2's, but Cotchery can get by as a #1 (although he's not) simply because of his YAC. Steve Smith is more of a possesion receiver, he moves the chains with big catch after big catch. I love Smith as a player, but he isnt fit for a #1 gig. He's the Toomer to Eli's Plax.

Thats fair to say, but Smith hasnt had a chance to prove himself as a no. 1 yet. GIve him time, he wont disappoint.

yea, another thing i was very surprised at Nicks Height he was being advertised as a big wideout before the draft and i thought he was like a big reciever 6'3-6'2 type wideout but what is he listed at???[/quote]

He's 6-1, but he is build like a rock (no homo), and has a crazy wingspan. Here's an article about Crabtree and arm length. NIcks would be 2nd on that list if he was listen. Barden would be first:

maybe thats what it is...thats something i really dont take into consideration which i really should is wingspan...For basketball i started looking at that as well like toney douglas is 6'1 but has a 6'7 wingspan which is crazy so i can see how that really could put nicks over the top....Very true im curious to see how he does cause after we picked sanchez i was pulling for you guys to get Kenny Britt i thought he fit the mold perfect but ended up taking nicks....

We had a loooong look at Britt. There are questions about his work ethic. The administration thought Nicks was better I guess.

The problem is your points arent proven, and they are almost always wrong. If you had said I like Shonn Greene as a player I would have agreed with you too. Instead you compared SS to Chansi **** Stuckey.

Britt would have been a great pick, IMO. He fit's you guys great. I see Nicks as a Cotchery clone. Maybe a little more of a TD threat.

what i heard about him is that he is a little bit of a pre madonna and has a REAL big ego...which i feel almost all wideouts have (except Larry Fitzgerald who man do i wish was a jet hah) so that i think could of been a big reason to why he dropped a bit on the draft boards..

Because, SS is almost a clone to Stuckey. SS is a small, short yardage WR, that can move the chains, and plays with a lot of heart. I will say that SS is a little better, but I think most can agree, they are almost the same player.

The Giants lined up in an unusual defensive formation in today's practice. They had five defensive linemen -- Umenyiora, Tuck, Cofield, Alford and Kiwanuka -- across the line of scrimmage with Antonio Pierce as the only linebacker and five defensive backs. It'll be hard enough for teams to have to deal with Tuck and Osi at either end of the line, imagine the difficulties team will have if they are lined up next to each other? Tom Coughlin has.

The Giants are practicing a 5(lineman) 1(linebacker) and(5DBs). Going to be sick with our line.

By all accounts, (Eagles fans/forums), Sheppard is awful.

Hopefully a "Change of scenery" can get him back to a solid level.

Agree 100%. Thats part of the reason Crabtree fell, and look how that worked out. Both Nicks and Barden are hard workers and team oriented players.

He has been to the pro bowl, and he was once a dominant CB. I think with Revis, they might pick Lito apart, but I <3 my boy Lowery.

He was in the slot that was the type of routes they made him run. Chansi Stuckey has no chance of being anywhere close to SS. SS can be a solid number two, but starting Stuckey at two is very laughable.

They are the same in that they play in the slot. That's about it. I suppose Wes Welker is the same as Stuckey too? SS is easily a better receiver, and now is going to start outside like he did at USC.
