The Giants lined up in an unusual defensive formation in today's practice. It'll be hard enough for teams to have to deal with Tuck and Osi at either end of the line, imagine the difficulties team will have if they are lined up next to each other? Tom Coughlin has.

The Giants are practicing a 5(lineman) 1(linebacker) and(5DBs). Going to be sick with our line.

:o that is sick....who is alford though??? and something i dont get is why you guys paid for canty so much when you have soooo many good d-ends....?

jay alfrod he was a DT from penn state, we picked him 3rd round 2 years ago. He sacked Tom Brady in the SB. He is a good passrushing DT.

They signed Canty because he can play DT and DE. We got him and Bernard because both Robbins and Cofield had major offseason surgeries, and are somewhat risks.

Alford is a great 3 technique DT who is really quick and gets to the QB

Kenny Phillips. Yea, he had a very good rookie year, and I think he's gonna explode this year. I'm hoping Terrel Thomas steps up this year into the no. 2 CB slot and that allows Ross to stay in as the slot Cb where he is great at rushing the Qb as well as defending in routes.

If Nicks and Barden can come in and contribute we may have enough to get back to the superbowl, but the linebackers have to be healthy as well.
Trust but verify.

Bradshaw really took a step back last year imo. He didnt attack the line at all and waited for the perfect hole to open too much. I loved him 2 years ago cause he was aggressive and physical and was awesome. Hopefully he goes back to that form. Leon Washington would really be the perfect fit, since we could use a dominant return man too lol.

Wow, lots of aggressive Giants fan. Don't know why you guys were so aggressive in the beginning, we were just excited that football season has started. Welcome btw.

My 2 cents on the SS debate:
-Like most said he's a slot receiver who gets open and moves the chain REALLY well, he has potential to be #2, but IMO that's probably about it. Like someone said, put a physical CB against him and he probably becomes limited, when he develops a way to break the LOS, I think he can be the 2nd best #2 in the game after Welker.

-Chansi Stuckey is not better than him, they are comparable in terms of skill sets, but SS is better at getting open, Stuckey will probably be a career slot WR. Last year Stuckey had a great first 3 games, then regressed horribly throughout the year. Unless proven otherwise, and this is IMO a career year for him, then SS will probably be always better than him.

-Cotchery is a very good #2 WR, am I happy with him as our #1? Meh, He's like a poor man's Boldin, and I mean hobo-Boldin. Great hands, YAC, can get open, good speed, VERY physical but not as good as Boldin. If you want proof of how good his hands is, watch the video were he impersonates David Tyree.

-Lastly, Cothcery is better than SS, Jerricho had an 80rec-1000 yard season with Pennington and Clemens at QB the year before Favre. I just can't see SS developing to a level beyond Jerricho. But as of now, Cotch is better, for how long? Not sure.
