Byron Mullens video from Summer League

Slick, I know you don't have much faith in Mullens, if any. But he displayed a nice shooting touch in Vegas, he's athletic and runs the floor well for a guy his size. I watched just about all of his games at OSU and every SL game, rebounding and his overall defensive presence is what he obviously needs to improve on if he wants to break into the Thunder rotation. I like that he can slowly grow in OKC though, give the guy a chance. :D

Mumbles, that's a pretty accurate read on things... I think that Mullens has some great potential but not necessarily potential to be great. Even if he brings together all of his tools, I think he could be a first post player off of the bench, role player kind of guy. The downside, obviously, is that he just fades out of the league after the first couple of years on his rookie deal.

I think it's fairly likely that he ends up being a 6 pts, 6 boards, 2 blocks off of the bench kind of guy. That's not a bad place to end up, especially for a mid 20s pick, but I'm not expecting him to be the long-term solution for any real problem we have.
