yea, but porcello looked like a wuss, putting his arms up as if he didn't do anything, then he retreated.. LOL!! and still was able to slam youkalis..... I tell you, if some of these guys knew how to fight, youkalis would have gotten blasted charging the mound like that and throwing his helmet like a sissy...
Porcello should have thrown his glove and then followed it with a forearm.....

Porcello is 20 years old, Youkillis is like his father charging after him..
Anyway, Dr. Deftnik, I remember you saying Aceves was a 1 trick pony? Oh wait, since his dead arm went away, his line is 9ip, 4h 1r 1bb 7k...
I'm suprised you haven't found anything else to whine or cry about lately.

Yeah that will keep him happy for 30 seconds, then when Cano flies out in the 2nd inning tomorrow with Posada on 2nd base that will be the end of it.

EXCEPT that stat line is misleading. He in three of his last 4 appearances, Aceves inherited RISP and when those runs have scored he wasn't charged with them, the starting pitcher was. So remember stat lines can be VERY deceptive.
AGAIN....going all the way BACK to the original REM statement. I don't have a problem with Aceves. I have a problem with the way Girardi is "Torre-ing" him. We know what that means don't we Yankee fans?
I don't have to say: Paul Quantrill, Tanyon Sturtze, Scott Proctor...Right?
I can't blame Joe completely. He's under orders from Cashman to baby the Golden boy Philip Hughes.
What do all of those guys have in common? After Torre used them unmercifully,
We still have a lot of baseball left, let's not over use him to the point where come playoff time with runners at second and third, he can't get one out.

Umm 3 of the past 4 games he's pitched in, he's only inherited 1 runner on base and that runner didn't score. Do you just make up stats to try and backup your points? You said he was a 1 trick pony and he sucked. I can go back and find it in the threads but your not worth that much time.
For the whole season, ACEVES has allowed inherited runners to score ONLY 3 TIMES! I'm not quite sure how he is being torre'd. I was a bid advocater that Torre needed to go because he abused the bullpen by 3/4 of the way through the season and we would have nothing for the playoffs ever. Just look at the Dodgers this year. Girardi has a done a more then admirable job of spreading out who pitches when and where. Tanyon Sturtze? He was garbage. Scott Proctor? He was abused. Paul Quantrill? He was a legit 1 trick pony, his stuff never played in the AL east.
Overall, Hughes is not being babied. Just because a pitcher only pitched 1/3 of an inning, you have no idea how many times that pitcher was told to get hot in the game. The yankees are just being careful, even though its 8 pitches in 2 days, he still had to get lose and get hot in both of those games, no matter how many pitches he threw. So 8 pitches in 1 game, add in the 20 or so pitches it takes to get ready, thats 50+ in 2 days.

posada wasn't even playing. how is that possible?
seriously though, way to jinx them.
