C. LEE Hurting?

Post#1 » by Rockice_8 » Fri Aug 14, 2009 2:34 pm

Am I going to have to listen to him cry all season about how he wants to be back with Magic. Look I understand your going from the Finals to the Lottery but quit your whinning. I really hope this is just something D. Howard said when asked about the trade and he does want to be here because he's a big part of our future. I'd rather still be on the Magic too, but your here now and he better learn to love it. It's probably nothing and they didn't have anything else to write about but I've read this story three times and I'm sick of it.

My guess is that he's just really sad he won't be able to go around impregnating cheerleaders no penalty now that him and Dwight are so far apart.

^^^ It's still possible we got some decent cheerleaders. I used to know a bobcats cheerleader. She went to college with me and she knew my name and would say Hi to me....I loved life when that happened lol!

Regardless, I think Bobby Simmons said he'll be fine. Lee has not been with the team at all. Teams, especially small ones like NBA rosters, develop strong bonds hanging out with each other. Rookies lean on each other for help and the vets look out for the young players because most vets have experiences situations the young guys are going through. It's understandable. Like Simmons said, Lee hasn't been around his new team yet. I agree with Bobby that once they get into camp and he starts seeing how hungry we are and that we have a bunch of great guys/plaers on our roster, he'll be ok. Add to the fact that he goes from a potential building block with the Magic to one of our go-to player on the Nets, he'll like the increased importance he'll have on this team.

i couldnt help but laugh when i read this. it reminded me of the scene in dumb and dumber when lloyd is telling harry about the lady he drove to the airport and says "she actually talked to me man" hahaha.
but as for courney lee i think hell be fine. devin harris was in a very similar situation getting traded from an etlite team to a lottery team but he handled it well and kind of saw it as a compliment being the centerpiece of the jason kidd trade. lee should feel the same way that the nets wanted him when trading vince.

Anyone would cringe just at the thought of playing in the IZOD.

No but seriously, I doubt it's anything to worry about. These are just comments overblown to stir some speculation etc. I wish the kid the best of luck, and I'm sure the Nets will get a lot out of him

Totally dude. My friends from Jersey didn't believe that I knew a girl that hot who was an NBA Cheerleader. So one time they came to visit and I threw a house party...she showed up. I wasn't good friends with her by any means, but she enjoyed me (or maybe my friends on our football or rugby team...I'll believe it was the former) enough to show up to a lot of my parties lol. My friends were like "I can't believe she is willing to acknowledge you in public."

I've cringed the past 2 years about playing in the IZOD. At the start of the 10-11 season, it's gonna be hard for me to watch for the fact we should have been opening the stadium in Brooklyn at that time.

^^^ I know the feeling. I had 3 friends at various times working for the Nets or in NBA Headquarters. In Summer 2007 I know for a fact that we were in deep discussions with the Cavs for Zydrunas. Things fell apart at the last second on it. Granted a lot of people had random rumors about Vince at the deadline. My buddy that worked in NBA headquarters told me the Nets and Portland set up a conference call with Stern to formalize the trade and between that time they set the meeting and the actually time it was scheduled for the deal fell apart because Pritchard thought he could fleece Thorn for more.

It happens when you know people close to a team. All my friends connected to the NBA actually just went back to grad school so I'm back in the dark lol.

I understand the rookie/age thing here...and how he just went to the NBA finals, ect...but this dude needs to man up...

you came out Western Kentucky, a product of the Sun Belt Conf...the 22nd pick in the 08 draft...forget about weaping here...he needs to rejoice the fact he made it to the NBA finals at his age and so much success during the Magic's run...you know how many players never even get there...your young, on a young team with the potential to be a starter in this league...your whole career is ahead of you...

Man up and lets get on with things...dont get me wrong, I think Courtney can bring a whole lot to the table for the Nets...but lets keep things in perspectve and who we are, ect...and again, this is no disrespect to him or his relationship he had with the Magic organization...

I just want a baller, not a .....

Yooo me too. I'm guessing you're in East Rutherford or Carlstadt. But I wish I could trade homes with any Nets fans living in California. For some reason I never have been a big fan of the Nets. Especially with the Nets looking like a top destination for F.A next season, I'm sure somebody out in Cali would switch with me.

We have fans in California? If at all I would have figured they all became Maverick fans once J-Kidd was traded lol. Maybe Brooksy has pulled some in. Or Yi nabbed some of the Asian population out there. I'm pretty sure the rest of our roster is east coast/midwest guys.
