Dude is nice, I like his back to the basket turn and face game. Hell at least he's a decent inside presence, going into the season the Rockets clearly lacked somebody in the middle that can get a bucket. Now with this dude they might be OK.

Nice pick up by your GM.

I expect Scola to be the inside dirty work guy and Andersen to be the outside high post guy. Like Scola would be Adelman's Divac and Andersen his CWebb. If T-Mac comes back and plays like he did when the rockets went on that winning streak you do have a playoff team even without Yao Ming (barring injuries and other issues).

I was pitching to Nugget fans that the team trade a 2nd rounder to the Hawks for him and they looked at Andersen like a throw away end of the bench guy. DAndersen's tenure with the Rockets might be an eye opener. They aren't going to like pulling Nene and Chris Andersen away from the basket. But you gotta guard his outside shot.

Good analogy. The current rockets starters are somewhat "poor man" representation of the old Saco Kings:

Andersen (Webb) Webb has more talent but yet to see Andersen in real NBA action
Scola (Dviac) Both are crafty
Ariza (Stojakovic) Stojakovic is an excellent shooter but Ariza has better defence
Batters (Christy) Both are excellent defenders but with different defensive strengths
Brooks (Bibby) Both are good scoring PG with Bibby being better play maker. Brooks still have room for improvement though

And I like Rocket's bench support of Landry, Lowry, Hayes, Dorsey, Chase, Talyor. This bench is better than the old Saco Kings' in my opinion.

I prefer Adelman trying to recreate the Kings in HOU than JVG trying to recreate his Knicks.

I don't know if the bench is better, because as far as we all know only Landry and Lowry are proven rotation players. Hayes has his spots, but he's also not someone you can bring in and give consistent minutes.

Chase, Taylor, and Dorsey are all question marks until the season starts.

I wish I could add Wafer to the bench..... Landry, Lowry, Wafer: that just sounds right. Let's hope Taylor changes my mind.
