letting kleiza take the deal in europe was smart. wally, udoka, gerald green. plenty of cheap options for the nuggets.

letting? It was all Kleiza's choice. But i agree. It is better to keep the rights to match for a player than nothing. It is like having a 2nd rounder overseas but better.

Kleiza could have joined the circus too I suppose.

Let's use a little common sense here. First Kleiza tried to find other NBA teams to establish his value at a figure he liked. Then he used Europe. The Nuggets didn't want to pony up the cash. While Kleiza was waiting for the Nuggets to offer something good he got a 2nd offer from overseas so he took it. But in reality the Nuggets let Kleiza go overseas.

You have to admit he got a pretty good offer overseas. I bet he didn't expect such an offer.

Wally would make good sense for the Nugz at this point. When you look at their roster on paper, their backups from the offense lax real talk outside of Smith, Birdman, and Allen. These guys are effective in transition offense, but lack the ability to spread out the offense from the perimeter. That's where someone like Wally would come in and help solve that problem.
