2. TMACFORMVP- solid starting lineup with great rotational players, that i c having great chemistry
3. Warspite- great offensive, and defensive presence on the glass
4. Snakebites- its a great team to surround with the number 1 overall pick.
5. CellarDoor- got to put him in the top 5 cause he is a mod now, congrats.. but man does this team lack defence.

Thanks though, man.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rankings (DUE MONDAY AT 11 EASTERN)
1. TMACFORMVP - The Wade-Bird-Robinson trio is absolutely ridiculous. Wade in his championship season isn't that far off from the all-time greats, Robinson is one of the best centers ever on both ends of the court, and prime Bird is probably a top 5 player ever, at worst. Porter is a very good fit at PG, and there are some very good defenders off the bench. While I do think Elvin Hayes is a fantastic player, he might create some chemistry problems, so that's something to look out for. Still, this team is complete, well-rounded, and also will excel in crunch time.
2. CellarDoor - I'm obviously biased when it comes to my own team, but, of these 13 teams, there's absolutely no doubt that CellarDoor's is the best defensive one, and it's really not even that close. On some all-time teams, Barry could cause chemistry problems, but that doesn't seem to be an issue on this team. I think it could use a little more inside scoring, but that's just being nitpicky.
3. Warspite - I feel like this team is the most well-rounded. I don't think it's great defensively, but they still would play good defense, and it can make a case for being the best team in the league in terms of offense, shooting, and rebounding. Allen and Mullin on the floor together could create a nightmare for opposing defenses, especially when a guy like Moses is manning the center position. Prime Moses is flat-out dominant.
4. bryant08 - This team is talented and versatile. Offensively, it's got the tools to excel both in the fast-break and half-court. Also, the bench is possibly the best in the league. I know McGrady gets a lot of flack, but he was amazing in his prime. Still, I think Kidd is better suited on a team built to run.
5. Snakebites - This team is tailor-made for Jordan. He's surrounded by good shooters and defenders. Plus, Pierce is a really good playmaker to complement Jordan on the wing. Lanier off the bench is a huge asset. When you've got the greatest SG (and maybe player) ever and surround him with players like this, you're going to be tough to beat.
6. poopdamoop - This team is incredibly talented. Purely on peak talent, this team might have the best roster in the league. Oscar, West, Walton, McAdoo, and Penny were all spectacular in their primes, just to name a few. But, as amazing as Walton is, he is injury-prone, even in his prime, as evidenced by poopdamoop only playing him 28 minutes per game. Sure, he can match or outplay just about any center in the league for those 28 minutes, but most of the other elite big men are playing 40 minutes nightly, or close to it. It's still a really dangerous team, though.
7. Gremz - This team might have some issues getting enough shots to satisfy all the players, but it's still really talented, and a prime Wilt is another guy who can make a case for the best player ever. A Dirk / Wilt frontcourt is nasty in all areas.
8. bringbackhoffa - This team can score, but it would probably have trouble defending and, especially, rebounding, two significant weaknesses.
9. calderon13 - Duncan is a great defender, but the rest of the starters are not, and, while Duncan is the best player on the team, he's best in the half-court, while the rest of the team is built to run.
10. BlackIce - No writeup. I really like the Havlicek / Hakeem duo and believe this is the best of the teams without writeups.
11. vct33 - No writeup. Ridiculously good offense, possibly the best in the league, but this team is also very poor defensively for an all-time team.
12. MJallday59 - No writeup. The guys surrounding Kobe and LeBron fit them perfectly, but their abilities are minimized when playing together. Both like to dominate the ball and control the offense.
13. Booz - No writeup. This team's backcourt defense is terrible, and chemistry issues would arise as a result of players not getting their touches/shots.

Not that I have any issue, but I've seen you post this several times, and this is not true. Russell won MVPs in all 3 years I selected, and I believe Wilt did for Gremz, as well.

I'm too lazy to go back and check, but is the top five the same six in all of them (allowing for those of us who couldn't vote for ourselves)

Re: All-Time Draft: Rankings (DUE MONDAY AT 11 EASTERN)
^^I stand corrected on the Russell part. If memory serves, Wilt's selected seasons didn't coincide with all three of his consecutive MVPs. Could be wrong there too though as Gremz didn't throw a write-up out there.

Just because your the quickest C doesnt mean your not the slowest PF. This team is good in regular season but could still go down in the 1st rd. I just think Kidd is a bad fit because this is a halfcourt team with a running PG. Trading Kidd for Stockton would have been huge.
Weak outside shooting? In the seasons selected:Code: Select all
Jason Kidd
37% 3PT (0.9 makes)
34% 3PT (0.8 makes)
30% 3PT (0.9 makes)Code: Select all
Scottie Pippen

35% 3PT (1.4 makes)
37% 3PT (1.9 makes)Code: Select all
Dale Ellis
36% 3PT (1.0 makes)
41% 3PT (1.4 makes)
48% 3PT (2.0 makes)
*3rd most 3pt FGs made all time, 40.3% career 3PT
Those are the starters, you can argue they aren't high efficiency guys from beyond the arc (minus Dale Ellis), but they all have the ability to can the open 3 and Ellis is a pure shooter. My bench is rammed with guys who can shoot the 3 though, so if I need them, they're right there.Code: Select all
Mookie Blaylock
36% 3PT (2.5 makes)
37% 3PT (2.9 makes)
37% 3PT (2.8 makes)Code: Select all

42% 3PT (2.2 makes)
47% 3PT (2.6 makes)
*5th most 3pt FGs made all time, 40% career 3PT
And then deeper off the bench:Code: Select all
Rashard Lewis
39% 3PT (2.5 makes)
41% 3PT (2.8 makes)
40% 3PT (2.8 makes)
I understand it was unneccessary at this point, but I wanted to clear up that misconception. I'm not looking for a ranking change or anything like that, I just wanted to be very clear on the fact that my team does have 3 pt shooting and lots of it, that's the direction I basically took for my team into the later rounds (3pt shooting and defense).
I couldnt just make fun of there looks or mothers. I had to find some fault in every team. and your 30some % #pt shooters is all I could find. Im a huge fan of Ellis and have had him on my team several times. Hes a great shooter of the Bird, Miller level. He struggles guarding athletic WNBA players but he can shoot the rock.

Sorry guys for the lack of write-up. I had to leave town unexpectedly. I will still rank other teams.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rankings (DUE MONDAY AT 11 EASTERN)
Rankings based on total votes so far.
1. Bryant v. Gremz
2. Tmac v. Poopdamoop
3. Warspite v. Fingerroll
4. Snakebites v. Cellardoor
The 4/5 match-up is going to be a hell of a match regardless of which of us gets 4/5. MJ v. Moncrief, Deron v. Payton, Lucas and Williams on the boards. Should be epic.

No doubt.
I'm looking forward to my first ATL matchup.
