Accept. I don't have any financial flexibility anyways, so I might as well pick up a productive player in Billy Owens as well as that coveted 96 1st rounder.

Luc Longley- $3,180,000
Charlotte Unprotected 2001 1st.
Right to swap 1st Round picks in 2002.

Charlotte 01 unprotected, Kukoc, Longley for D Davis, McKey and a swap option for you in 02.

Salaries work, due to Chicago being under the cap.

Indiana accepts due to the fact that there are so many contending teams currently, that utilizing our current talent for future picks will give us a deeper run in the early 2000s.

Accepted. Swapping Davis and McKey for Kukoc (Longley's expiring) improves our defense. Losing the Charlotte first hurts, but I need to contend now.

Accept, I acknowledge T-Mac has the right to switch picks. Anthony wasn't part of my plans, I pick up a pick that could get me a rotation player, or one I could package with my own for another.

Utah and Sacramento have reached an agreement

Sacramento trades Mitch Ritchmond and Lionel Simmons ($10.36 million) plus their 2000 draft pick for Jay Humphries, Tom Chambers, and John Crotty ($8.49 million) plus my 1998, 2004, and 2005 draft picks.

Utah accepts. Mitch is a perfect complement to Malone's inside dominance and will truly benefit from playing next to an elite point guard, giving us two versatile swingmen in Jackson and Ritchmond to play alongside my all NBA tandem, hopefully pushing us over the cusp and making us champions.

Sacramento accepts. We weren't planning on winning yet, so this is a good rebuilding start

Kings and Spurs have come to an agreement

Walt Williams and Mark Price
in exchange for
Doc Rivers, Moses Malone, Terry Cummings, 1996 San Antonio Conditional 1st (Pick goes to Sacramento if it is between 8-14), and 1997 top 14 protected 1st

*Sacramento outgoing salary - $10,480,000
*San Antonio outgoing salary - $9,380,200
*Works under CBA

Sacramento accepts. Walt and Price weren't part of our future so we pick up expirings in return. We also have a good shot at 2 upcoming 1sts, and for a rebuilding team, draft picks are never a bad thing.

San Antonio accepts.

We acquire a pair of quality shooters to help beef up our backcourt, with our frontcourt already stacked well with DRob, Rodman, and Gugliotta.

This gives us the deepest team in the conference, and depth helps with playoff games. We have now added 3 15ppg scoring role players to a team that won 61 games. We've quietly made sound improvements while not giving up anything really part of our plans, even if we haven't made a so called "front page" addition.

And we do so without any extreme risk to our future.

Hold on, Doc Rivers was on the Spurs and the Knicks in 94-95. Who has him (he only played 3 games for the Knicks that year, vs. 60 on the Spurs)? I've already dealt him though.

Edit: Oh ****. He joined the Spurs in late December 1994 as a Free Agent. What should I do regarding the trade?

He signed a deal in December of 1994 with the Spurs.

Everything starts in this league in January. Otherwise Tom Gugliotta would have opened on the Warriors and Chris Webber would have been available in the contraction draft.

^^^ If we're assuming the season started in January of 1995, I think the Spurs would have him at that point.

Alright, I'm just going to assume the deal is void and try to figure out another deal. What am I paying Rivers though??

The Heat and the Kings have agreed upon a trade:

Heat give / Kings get: Bimbo Coles, Billy Owens, John Salley, Unprotected 1996 First Round Draft Pick (Heat)
Total: $11,940,000

Kings give / Heat get: Tom Chambers, Terry Cummings
Total: $8,999,200

$11,940,000 - $8,999,200 = $2,940,800

Because the Kings are more than $2,940,800 below the cap, this deal works.

The Heat accept. We give up more talent in the trade, and giving up an unprotected pick in such a good draft is very risky, but we're willing to do so to shed some long-term money and gain great financial flexibility.

The Indiana Pacers and New Jersey Nets have reached an agreement:

Indiana Sends:

Vern Fleming- $3,520,000
Chris Gatling- $2,660,000
Greg Kite- $2,390,000
LaSalle Thompson- $4,000,000
Sam Mitchell- $1,700,000
1995 1st Round Pick
1996 1st Round Pick

Total: $14,270,000

New Jersey sends:

Latrell Sprewell- $1,780,000
Armen Gilliam- $3,120,000
Chris Morris- $4,120,000
Kevin Edwards- $3,120,000

Total: $12,140,000

Maths Works: $12,140,000 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $15,275,000 > $14,270,000

Indiana accepts. We get a dominant wing to pair with Reggie, and a quality rebounder in Gilliam to pair with Smits' offensive game. This trade improves us dramatically and gives us enough weapons to challenge for a few immediate titles.

Confirmed. We lose Sprewell, and a good rebounder in Gilliam but we are rebuilding so we don't mind. We clear salary and get picks (albeit probably late ones), but thats what we were looking for.

good point, if this is dynasty format we should abide by nba rules, unlike other games that are just for one or 2 years

This makes sense to me due to the duration of the game. Perhaps Utah and Sacramento should adjust their Richmond trade as well. Trading consecutive picks is illegal under the CBA unless you own someone else's pick for that year.
