Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Finally Out!
ASSIGNMENT # 2: ws26 (8) vs. mikero (9)
Shed the Nets’ ’10 Salary
Off-Limits: Harris/Lopez
U2BT: Lee/T. Williams/Jianlian
Objectives: Move Keyon Dooling and/or Eduardo Najera for expirings and/or youth assets.
First off, just wanted to say good luck to mikero and the other competitors.
Secondly, this might not go so well, as it's Saturday night and I'm rushing this because I'll be away until the 18th.
But, no excuses, play like a champion, right?
Here we go...
New Jersey
Outgoing: Alston, Dooling, Najera, 2nd round pick
Incoming: Camby, Davis
New Jersey gets a couple expiring deals. Camby slots in at the starting center and gives them an identifiable face, which is important when you need to sell tickets. Plus, he can help school Lopez on the defensive end. Davis can contribute some minutes, and might provides a spark (good or bad). Alston is not the team's PG, so he's not necessary to keep, and to get rid of both Dooling and Najera makes it worth it. Clearly, they'd have to sign a backup PG to a minimum deal after this trade.
Philadelphia
Outgoing: Thad Young, Louis Williams
Incoming: Alston, Najera, 2nd round pick (NJN)
This looks bad on the face of it. Thad is a great young SF, without question. But this team can go places if they have a PG who can run the show. When they let Miller go, they lost their leader. Clearly, they are strapped for cash. And SF is the position that is easiest to fill. I'm thinking a 3-pt shootout with a rotation of Kapono and Smith, at least for this year. They get a PG who has proven he can run a team, as he did in Orlando. Plus, they get rid of Louis Williams' contract for the shorter and cheaper Najera's, cutting salary in the present and future. The pick helps get it done.
LA Clippers
Outgoing: Camby, Ricky Davis
Incoming: Thad Young, Williams, Dooling
LA is building for the future with Blake Griffin. They are looking for a new identity. They need to forget about the days of losing with Ricky Davis. They get the headcase out of town. They also clear the logjam at C by dealing Camby, but get a very valuable asset in Young. Thaddeus would be great next to Griffin, and is a nice changeup from Al Thorton. Williams and Dooling's contracts are not ideal, but Williams provides insurance on Baron Davis and Dooling can be a slasher who works well beside Gordon.
*Note: This trade cannot be completed until August 25, 2009 since Rafer was recently traded.

Quick question,
I notice some of the posted trades can't be completed until trade restrictions expire. Is that allowed for this round?

"Allowed" is a strong word.
I don't want to DQ anyone for this oversight, but I did mention specifically that anyone on the team you are given is eligible in your proposal, "EXCEPT for players that cannot be traded". I have said numerous times that I want proposals to be able to be done RIGHT NOW, not once a trade restriction or a BYC or anything else expires. ESPN's Trade Machine is an excellent test to make sure your trade works RIGHT NOW, and should be consulted by all participants before submitting a proposal.
What do the other judges think of this issue? I am planning on simply docking Feasibility points...

Definitely missed that one! Although it looks like both me and ws had deals that had to wait because of 2 month trade restrictions, so it shouldn't affect our round.

Yeah i missed that too, but I mean by the time these are even judged, my trade would be able to go through as speedy's exception ends in like 4 days or something like that.

^ legacy brings up a good point. A bunch of players have restrictions that end on the 23rd or 25th. Would including the be penalized? I think they could probably be considered safe to include, seeing as how the waiting period would be that of days, not weeks or months.
That being said, it's your call ecuhus.

Assuming the guy can be traded before camps start in October, it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't have a problem if a guy can't technically be traded until late August/early September such as a Rafer Alston, Greg Buckner, etc.
Once camps start, your on a much more slippery slope since guys are left in limbo for a period of time.

^ That is basically what I wanted to know. My 2nd question was phrased as to make it seem redundant.
Are other judges ok with trades that can't be done now, but in a matter of days, long before training camp?
Sorry if I'm being annoying with the questions, but I (like everyone else in the TT) am gunning for a high rank.

Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Finally Out!
I didn't want to get into the nuts and bolts of how I'm going to score these trade restrictions, but since you mentioned it...
Yes, I feel like these restrictions from trades that happened in June don't constitute a heavy penalty. Ones that are more egregious, for example if someone proposed a trade including Q-Rich again, would suffer a greater penalty. It's not going to be much, but I have a "sliding-scale" in mind, according how far in time the deal is from completion.
Also, people should remember that these trade restrictions apply to recently traded players who are COMBINED in a deal with other players on a team's roster. There are a couple of completed assignments I have seen that *could* work by removing the players under trade restrictions, and moving them in a separate transaction. I will handle these on a case-by-case basis, but since they didn't PRESENT the assignment to me in that format, I will have to dock some points. It's like when you turn in algebra homework, and you have the right answers, but didn't write out all of the steps correctly. And hey, it's better than being DQ'ed, right!

ASSIGNMENT # 4: sammydavis (4) vs. Finger Roll (13)
Find a Home for Camby
Off-Limits: Gordon/Griffin
U2BT: Thornton/Jordan
Objectives: Upgrade their wing rotation, acquire youth assets.
First of all ws26 is right, good luck to Finger Roll and everyone else.
I usually try to find a trade as simple and small as possible, but in this assignment I decided to go with a bigger one. I had a 1for1 trade in mind for a couple of days now but I just couldn't fall in love with it enough to post it here.
I had to find a suitable team for Camby. That means a need at C AND an ability to compete for the title AND the ability to give up some assets AND ... so here goes... (SORRY, it will be looong.)
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... eId=qnf8vs
LAC out:
Camby (9.1M)
Kaman (10.4M)
R.Davis (2.4M)
M.Collins (1.8M)
Total: 23.7M
LAC in:
J.Howard (10.8M)
K.Brown (4M)
JJ Barea (1.6M)
S.Williams (2.4M)
'11 LAC 2nd returned (from DET)
Total: 18.8M
B.Davis/Telfair/M.Taylor
E.Gordon/R.Butler/Barea
J.Howard/Thornton/Williams
Griffin/C.Smith
D.Jordan/K.Brown/Madsen
Why?
Plus:
- turning Camby into something of value,
- getting rid of Kaman's long deal,
- handing the reins to Jordan (why not if you already commit to your young core?),
- getting a serviceable backup C in Brown (he wouldn't pout as much as Kaman when only playing 20ish minutes),
- getting rid of RickyD,
- turning Collins into a better player in Barea,
- creating the possibility to turn Thornton into a 6th man, a role that the coach thinks fits him better.
- even better financial situation in 2010.
- better 2010 means possibility of better offer to Sessions...
Minus:
- dealing away almost all of the strength the team had (quality big man depth),
- handing the team totally to Baron (no Camby-tpe calming influence in dressing room),
- I really cannot think of another negative than maybe taking on another 1/1 bust (Brown)
DAL out:
J.Howard (10.8M)
M.Carroll (4.7M)
JJ Barea (1.6M)
S.Williams (2.4M)
'12 DAL 1st (top15 protected in '12, top5 protected in '13, unprotected in '14)
Total: 19.5M
DAL in:
Camby (9.1M)
R.Hamilton (11.3M)
R.Davis (2.4M)
Total: 22.8M
Kidd/Beabubois/Terry
Hamilton/Terry/Buckner
Marion/Thomas/Ross
Nowitzki/Gooden/Humphries
Camby/Dampier/Jawai
Why: DAL goes even more all-in during the Nowitzki-Kidd era. Camby slides into the starting 5 and plays a lot thus making Dampier's '11 contract guarantee a sure 'no' (that's another trade chip DAL will have next summer). If Donnie Nelson can sign Camby to an extension next summer, all the better. Turning Howard into Hamilton eats a lot into next year's capspace but the Mavs showed this summer that any '10 strategies they might have had have been abandoned. Howard was a bit of a headcase anyway and Hamilton fits their SG need (at least he's not out of position there as Howard would've been). Ricky D provides some motivation for LAC to do the deal and some depth on the wings. I mean deep depth. Carroll-type minutes are to be expected. The pick they lose is one way to get DET involved in this.
DET out:
R.Hamilton (11.3M)
K.Brown (4M)
'11 LAC 2nd returned
Total: 15.3M
DET in:
Kaman (10.4M)
M.Carroll (4.7M)
M.Collins (1.8M)
'12 DAL 1st (top15 protected in '12, top5 protected in '13, unprotected in '14)
Total: 16.9M
Stuckey/Bynum/Collins
Gordon/Carroll
Prince/Summers/Jerebko
Villanueva/Maxiell/Daye
Kaman/Wilcox/Big Ben
Why: turning Hamilton's long contract into Kaman's long but still shorter contract which is really trading from strength to weakness. Taking on Carroll's contract sucks but he's a capable long range shooter who can provide some bombs when Gordon sits. And the contract is declining anyway. Collins provides some depth and D at PG/SG that was lost when they traded away Afflalo. The pick is to compensate for Carroll's contract. All in all they clear a logjam at SG to fill a need at C. They get a shooter to compliment the other shooters AND a C that can operate when defenses collapse on the shooters. I could go on... but this is way too long already.
Thanks for the patience, guys!
Good luck, Finger Roll!
EDIT: Sorry, I mistyped and now corrected the DET incoming amount. No other changes in the post.

Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Finally Out!
Assignment: Clearing cap from NYK for 2010.
Some NYK fans and perhaps management alike may believe that there are teams out there willing to give NY pure expirings for Jeffries and Eddy Curry. Sure there are teams that could use Jeffries as a defender and 3/4 player off the bench, but pure expirings in 2010...when the cap is shrkinking....I don't think so.
The Knicks need to think of slightly more creative ways of unloading their 2 main albatrosses for 2010. The best way perhaps of doing this is by dealing both for another albatross, someone who has is making less money, but expiring way beyond 2011.
The following is a perfect scenario of the above (works with ESPN Trade Checker):
Kings Trade:
Andres Nocionni, Kenny Thomas
Knicks Trade:
Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries, and 2010 2nd Rd Pick
Why for Sacramento:
Long term the Kings have to think about fitting minutes in for other wings at the 3 slot particularly Omri, Greene, and perhaps some time to Justin Thompson. Noch has a lengthy deal and this move would add salary to 2011 for the Kings, but ultimatley give them expirings in 2011 (a year they should be more targeting the FA market due to the influx of teams in the 2010 mix...and due to the Kings' progression). The Kings are also one of the few teams that can actually give Curry an ample shot as a post player. They currently do not have a legit backup center and in all reality have no real post game. It has been written that Curry has lost a lot of weight this off-season, the Kings do have the roster spot and minutes available to test Eddy's productivity next season.
Jeffries would be a nice addition to an up and coming roster. Jeffries brings similar tough nosed D that Noch had and is able to play the 3/4 as was Noch. The best part though...he expires in 2011.
PF J. Thompson/ S. May
SF D. Greene/ J. Jeffries/ O. Casspi
C S . Hawes/ E. Curry
SG K. Martin/ F. Garcia
PG T. Evans/ S. Rodriguez/ B. Udrih
Why for New York:
What is all comes down to for NYK is the summer of 2010. The Knicks do add a lengthy deal in Noch, but Andres would be a nice fit under MDA. Noch can play small ball, hit the three, and be the hustle defender the Knicks sorely lack. Let's focus on the real reason NY makes this trade...cap savings in 2010.
After this deal the Knicks allow Kenny Thomas' contract to expire and unload roughly 11.25 million more from their 2010 payroll (Eddy Curry's deal balloons to 11.27 in 2010-2011) (Noch makes 7.5 next season, but that dips to 6.85 in 2011 and 6.65 in 2012 before going back up to 7.5 in 2013). They essentially are unloading Curry and getting a better replacement for Jeffries, only long term.
Also a nice added slight nugget is that Noch was once a much more attractive commodity on the open market. If anybody can take Noch, pump up his stats, and then perhaps deal him at the dead line for a 2010 expiring it's MDA, Walsh, and the Knicks...perhaps unlikely, but defintley a better shot at getting pure expirings for Jeffries even with the lengthy deal.
PF A. Harrington/ K. Thomas
SF A. Nocionni/ D. Gallinari
C D. Milicic/ J. Hill
SG W. Chandler/ L. Hughes
PG C. Duhon/ T. Douglas
*Left off David Lee and Nate Robinson due to uncertainty of where they will end up

SF D.

Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Finally Out!
ASSIGNMENT # 7: Poopdamoop (7) vs. eitanr (10)
Shed the Knicks’ ’10 Salary
U2BT: Douglas/Chandler/Gallinari/Hill
Objectives: Move Eddy Curry and/or Jared Jeffries for expirings and/or youth assets.
New York trades: Chris Duhon, Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries, 3 million in cash, 2010 2nd rounder, future second round pick
New York receives: Dan Gadzuric, Luke Ridnour, Matt Harpring, Kyle Korver, 6.1 million dollar TPE
New York sheds its two worst contracts and loads up with expirings for the '10 offseason. Gadzuric is owed a hefty amount, but even with his contract, the Knicks would still have enough room under the cap to offer two max deals (assuming a cap of $51 million)
Milwaukee trades: Dan Gadzuric, Luke Ridnour
Milwaukee receives: Eddy Curry, 3 million in cash, 2010 2nd round pick from New York
Milwaukee gets some breathing room under the luxury tax barrier and gets out of Gadzuric's contract. Curry's is just as bad, but they get 3 million in cash, which essentially covers the difference between their 2011 salaries, and get to make room for Jennings and possibly Sessions, if he resigns. They also get a cheap pick in 2010
Utah trades: Matt Harpring, Kyle Korver
Utah receives: Jared Jeffries, future 2nd round pick
Utah saves over $10 million dollars and get a long armed defender whom Sloan may be able to use in his system as well as another New York pick in the future.
Orlando trades: $6.1 million TPE
Orlando receives: Chris Duhon
Orlando gets an excellent, expiring backup point guard who can hit threes and run an offense very well.
After this deal is complete, New York would then acquire Anthony Johnson from Orlando with their new TPE to save Orlando some money and clear their PG glut while New York gets a veteran expiring presence.

Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Finally Out!
ASSIGNMENT # 8: KiDdFrESh (2) vs. SW567 (15)
Improve the Heat
Off-Limits: Wade
U2BT: Chalmers/Haslem
Objectives: Upgrade the starting SF and C, add a veteran backup PG.
Firstly, I must say that my goal is to improve the Miami Heat. It was a tricky task because I did not want to add long term salary so the organization will still be able to splurge on the 2010 FA Market.
One of my objective was to upgrade the starting SF position. I think the best solution here would be to move Michael Beasley to the 3 spot. During the off-season he has been preforming drills that a PG/SG would do to improve his ball-handling and perimeter game so he can play the SF position.
I also do not think that Jermaine O'Neal is a terrible option at the Center position. His contract is too valueable to deal away and he can get the job done for the time being. He is difficult to trade because of the size of his contract and their aren't too many teams out there that are willing to swap centers with expiring contracts. The Heat also have former All-Star Jamaal Maglorie to backup O'Neal. Although he is just a shadow of his former self, I think he can be a legit backup for the time being.
As for the backup PG position. I feel it would be best for the Heat to use a portion of the MLE to sign PG Jamaal Tinsely to a 2 year deal worth 5 million, with the 2nd year being a team option. Remember that just a couple season ago, Tinsley was averaging 11.9 PPG and 8.4 apg. In my opinion he just needs a change of scenary from Indiana and could preform well in Miami off the bench.
I would also sign PF Pops Mensah-Bonsu to a 2 year deal worth 3 million, with the 2nd year being a team option as well. I think this is a potential low risk high reward move for the Heat. I think Pops could develop into a solid role player when given the oppurtunity and I think he would fit in well with the Heat as he can run the court as well.
Like I mentioned earlier, that 2010 FA market is far more important to the Heat at the moment than trading for long term salary to remain mediocore.
Pat Riley has expressed a ton of interest in Carlos Boozer and I think I found a deal that is plausible for all the teams involved. Here it is.
3 team trade (MIA, UTAH, MIN)
Miami trades: PF Udonis Haslem, SF Dorrel Wright, Future 1st Round Pick (via Miami)
Heat recieve: PF Carlos Boozer
Utah trades: PF Carlos Boozer
Jazz recieve: PF Udonis Haslem, PG Chucky Atkins, Future 1st Round Pick (via Miami)
Minnesota trades: PG Chucky Atkins
T'Wolves recieves: SG Dorrel Wright
Why for Miami?
The Heat bring in a double-double machine in Carlos Boozer. He has a nice mid-range shot and would be lethal playing with Wade. The pick n roll game would be nasty with those two on the floor. Correct me If I'm wrong, but the Heat finally get the low-post scoring threat that they have been lacking since the depature of Shaq. Losing a solid role player in Haslem hurts but you got to give talent in order to recieve it. The upgrade of Boozer from Haslem is too good to pass up in my opinion. Dorrel Wright has never developed into the player most thought and often found himself at the end of the Heats bench. The First Round Pick is more incentive for the Jazz to deal Boozer.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Lineup for Utah:
PG: Williams, Price, Maynor
SG: Brewer, Miles
C: Okur, Koufos, Fesenko
SF: Kirilenko, Korver
PF: Milsap, Haslem
IR: Harpring
Why for Utah?
The Jazz recently re-signed Paul Milsap to a lucrative contract and now have one of the highest payrolls in the league. It is clear that Boozer is not a part of the Jazz future plans. This deal gives them a solid backup in Haslem, a future first round, and instant savings because Atkins is only guaranteed $760,000. Thus saving the Jazz an estimated 5.4 million instantly (including luxury tax penalty). This also clears the way for Milsap to start.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Lineup for Minnesota:
PG: Flynn, Brown
SG: Wright, Wilkins, Ellington
C: Jefferson, Blount, Hollins
SF: Brewer, Gomes
PF: Love, Songalia
IR: Cardinal
Why for Minnesota?
With the moves the T'Wolves have made this season, they find themselves thin at the SG spot. Dorrel Wright is still young and given the playing time he could develop into a nice player in Minnesota. He will fit in nicely with the Wolves young core. If he does not work in Minnesota, then no biggie because he is also an expiring contract.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
FINAL ROSTER FOR 2009-2010 MIAMI HEAT:
PG: Chalmers, Tinsley
SG: Wade, Richardson, Cook
C: O'Neal, Maglorie, Anthony
SF: Beasley, Jones
PF: Boozer, Mensah-Bonsu
IR: Diawara, Quinn
FINAL OUTPUT:
Even with just making one trade and a couple of minor free-agent signings, I think this is definatley an improved Miami Heat team. This team is good enough to compete with Atlanta, Washington, and maybe even Toronto for HCA.
The great thing about this final roster is that going into the 2010 Off-season, if the Heat choose not to pick up the options of Tinsley and Mensah-Bonsu, Miami will have just 4 players under contract. Those players would be Beasley, Chalmers, Anthony (Player Option), and Cook. James Jones contract IS NOT guaranteed in 2010 or 2011.
That would leave Miami with just $8,871,606 in committed salary on the books, giving Miami just over 41 million in cap space in perhaps the biggest FA frenzy in NBA History.
Bring it on if you think you can hate!

Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Finally Out!
I've been trying for hours to come up with a clear-cut fair Boozer trade, but it's hard to do. So here goes nothing.
Utah Trades: Carlos Boozer, 2009 2nd Round Pick
Utah Receives: Gerald Wallace, Dontell Jefferson
Charlotte Trades: Gerald Wallace, Dontell Jefferson
Charlotte Receives: Carlos Boozer, 2009 2nd Round Pick
Why does Utah do this? They get Wallace, who's locked into a contract for 3 more years, and is a perfect complement to D-Will and the Jazz's offensive system. They need a slasher who can score at will and that's what they get right here.
Why does Charlotte do this? Well, first of all, Boozer seems like a LB type of player and would do well under him. You can also go big in the frontcourt and play Diaw, Boozer, and Chandler at times, and at other times you can go small with Boozer and Diaw as your 4 and 5. They get rid of yet another big contract in Wallace's for one that expires this year. If they sign AI this year that leaves a starting five of: Augustin, Iverson, Bell/Diaw, Boozer, Chandler, with a bench of Bell/Diaw, Vlad, Felton, etc. That's a definite playoff team in the East this year.
Tough assignment, hope this is okay.
BTW, sorry Jazzfan, had to include the 2nd.

Re: TT '09 - 1st-Round Assignments Are Due 8/18 at Midnight ET
My trade: (Note, This was really hard and I came up with various complicated scenerios, but decided to settle on this):
Hornets trade:
1) Peja
2) Antonio Daniels (expiring)
for:
1) Redd
2) Elson (expiring)
Bucks trade:
1) Redd
2) Elson (expiring)
for:
1) Kenny Thomas (expiring)
2) Antonio Daniels (expiring)
3) Andres Nocioni
Kings trade:
1) Kenny Thomas (expiring)
2) Nocioni
for:
1) Peja
NEW LINEUPS:
Hornets:
PG: Paul/Collison
SG: Redd/Peterson
SF: Posey/Wright
PF: West/Diogu
C: Okefor/Elson/Armstrong
Bucks:
PG: Jennings/Ridnour
SG: Delfino/Bell
SF: M2/Nocioni/Alexander
PF: Warrick/Illysova
C: Bogut/Gadzuric
KINGS:
PG: Evans/Udrich
SG: Martin/Garcia
SF: Peja/Greene
PF: THompson/Casspi
C: Hawes/May/Brockman
Hornets salary going out: Peja (14.2)+Daniels (6.6)=20.8- Salary coming in: Redd (17)+Elson(1.7)=Net Savings of 1.3 million, which means a luxary tax savings of 2.6 million.
WHY FOR THE HORNETS?
1) They go for it by getting the sharpshooting Redd, who fills the long needed SG position. With Posey and Julian Wright, Peja isn't needed at SF. They get better defensively in that Redd (although no D-man himelf) is a better defender than Peja is.
2) Elson is a cheap vet backup center who has played on winning teams like Denver and the Spurs. He'll be there in case Armstrong falters or Oekfor gets injured.
3) Antonio Daniels looked done last year. They drafted Collison for a reason. Collison will give them productive minutes as a backup.
4) They do save 2.6 million while upgrading considerably in talent.
WHY FOR THE BUCKS?
1) They save a ton of 2010 money even though they take in quite a bit this year. They save roughly 12 million next year in salary. Nocioni also has a decreasing salary, so his contract becomes movable if need be.
2) Nocioni is a Skiles type player who plays with passion and energy. With Delfino likely becoming the starting SG, Redd is movable. This deal gives them flexibility and a ton of savings.
WHY FOR THE KINGS?
1) They save a bit of money as Kenny Thomas+Nocioni make about 500k after Peja's TK kicks in. They do the deal because they get out of Nocioni's longterm deal as it is two years longer than Peja's deal.
2) They need to rekindle some fan interest. Peja could draw some tickets from fans wanting to rekindle the glory days.
Hornets trade:

ASSIGNMENT # 5: RTM (3) vs. ClipperDomination (14)
Find a Home for Boozer
Off-Limits: Williams/Brewer
Objectives: Lower the Jazz’ current cap number, acquire youth assets.
This trade would be completed on August 25th, one week from today.
Golden State Sends: Brandon Wright, Kelenna Azubuike, Speedy Claxton, 3 Million Cash
Golden State Receives: Carlos Boozer
Golden State consolidates talent, and brings in an all star big man to compliment their core, and make them a serious playoff threat. Think of this deal as an Amare-lite trade - instead of costing them Beidrins/Bellinelli/Wright/Curry, they only need to move Azubuike/Wright/Cash. The Warriors are able to give their front line a huge upgrade while removing a log jam on the wings. They now have a roster that can go very small (as they did last year), or play a much bigger, more traditional lineup (like Nellie did in Dallas). Assuming Watson accepts their offer, they become:
Ellis / Curry / Watson / Law
Jackson / Morrow
Randolph / Maggette / George
Boozer / Randolph / Turiaf
Beidrins / Turiaf
Utah Sends: Carlos Boozer
Utah Receives: Brandon Wright, Kelenna Azubuike, Speedy Claxton, 3 Million Cash
Utah immediately shaves 1.4 million from their cap, which equals a total savings of roughly 2.8 million with luxury tax. The savings aren't fantastic, but using the cash received from the Warriors, they can buy out the contract of Claxton and receive a bit more financial relief (as only the buyout amount counts against the cap). They do this trade mostly for the youth assets they receive. Azubuike (26) has already shown to be very productive and able to play multiple positions and Wright (21) has huge potential and a change of scenery may be all he needs. They are players that can help both now and in the future, and they add depth both on the wings and up front. When they buy out Claxton, the roster looks like:
Williams / Maynor / Price
Brewer / Korver
Azubuike / Miles / Harpring
Millsap / Kirilenko / Wright
Okur / Koufos / Fesenko
