Yes, that's it.

This is a guy who played with torn biceps in college until they made him stop. Tennessee gave him the number 92 for his incredible work ethic, determination, and production (for those not in the know, a certain Reggie White wore that number).

Packers coaches have said that he's gone above and beyond in order to get himself healthy again. His back injury was serious enough that it was possible that he might never play again. It got McCarthy's friend, Rock Gullickson fired - it's pretty evident that some weight room mishandling occurred.

This article shows how injured he really was: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/52391712.html

My bad, he's a ligit bad ass :argue:

Thanks for F-ing me up with some truth but none of that really matters because he'll never overcome these nagging injuries.

Look, I don't doubt whether Harrell is trying to get healthy and play. He's shown toughness in the past at Tennessee. But back problems are disastrous for lineman...they never truly go away. And if they're "chronic" back problems, say goodbye to his career.

That's why I didn't expect Harrell to come back. This isn't surprising to me. Anything we would've gotten from him would've been a big plus.

Justin Harrell's back is back at square one. Again they are trying to find the problem. He talked today like his career could be over.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Put a fork in this guy, so we don't have to think or read about him anymore. He's obviously not going to help the team in any capacity.

Yeah, I'd say he is all but finished.

Harrell fears career could be over

Green Bay - If the clock wasn't ticking before on the National Football League career of former first-round pick Justin Harrell, it is now.

Loudly.

Harrell admitted today that the "back spasms" coach Mike McCarthy said Harrell was suffering from last week, were actually a recurrence of herniated disc in his lower back that has bothered him since March of 2008.

Harrell has had surgeries on his L4 disc twice, and now could be facing a third. Harrell was already told his second surgery put his career in danger. So he realizes another would make the odds even longer.

"Definitely," an obviously distraught Harrell said. "I'm trying not to think about it, but how can you not?"

Harrell said the plan remains the same: to pinpoint the problem and rectify it.

"Right now we're just trying to get some other opinions and things like that and hopefully come up with a solution and what's causing everything and go from there," Harrell said. "Hopefully we'll come up with a new treatment plan or something just to make it all go away."

Harrell thought a 30-minute acupuncture treatment had solved the problem during the offseason. But he's back at square one.

"It's out of my hands," said Harrell, who was lauded by McCarthy and strength coach Dave Redding for his off-season work. "I guess as long as I know I'm doing everything I can and I know the doctors are working night and day trying to use all the resources to come up with a solution, that's really all I can ask for. I'm just trying to control my attitude and what I'm doing and as long as I'm doing that, it makes it a little easier to sleep at night."

Damn. That's too bad. Well high risk, high reward... and it didn't work for Ted.

I always wanted to see him play healthy, think he could've been a good one.

God, I can only imagine how this guy feels. I'm sure he wants to play so bad, but just can't. It's kind of sad.

Poor guy. And Poor us for wasting a 16th overall pick.
