I Have To Ask You Guys This Question

The Celtics have a topic on their board called "We have one of the all time great teams".
Now I don't have a problem with that because everyone has a passion for their team. Here is the OP's statement:
Its 3am and I'm exhausted, but it hit me, and I wanted to share that we have one of the all time great teams. I feel pretty confident that history will prove us right in this. Years down the road this current era of great celtics teams will be remembered. We have all the elements:

A great but league wide under rated star in our Captain Paul Pierce

A dominant big in KG

One of the best shooters ever in Ray

A rising star in Rondo

A vet on the bench in Sheed

A lovable character in Baby

A token white guy is scal

AS well as a bunch of guys who know there role and help us win is Perk and House and hopefully Danials and Tony Allen.

There is a ton of reason to be excited. I can't wait for the season to start. I can't wait to see my team with a healthy KG again. I think he is going to start the season playing out of his mind. His quote about guaranteeing championships is a great thing. He now has something to prove.

My question is, when we make threads like this, a lot of other boards come in & straight ridicule us, but over there its not a problem. The funny part is they won 1 title in the past 22 years & that type of claim can be made & other boards roll it off like water on a ducks back, but if we say I think we can repeat this year, they come running back over here like a dog return to his vomit. Why is that?

Are they talking about their current team or the 08 Championship team?

Okay I just checked that thread. It's a fair thread. I think I agree with a couple of posters in that thread that its premature.

Look, the Lakers had a stack line up of Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton, and did not win the ring. Same could be said with Boston. It's a long season. You have to be good, definitely lucky, and without major injury to win it all. Lakers were able to overcome that in 09 to win and Celtics definitely had that in 08.

Until you win a championship, you can't call that team the greatest ever.

Yeah, it will be great to have the Lakers take out that team this year. Going to be a great season with so many stacked teams now. It's like once the Lakers won the chip, everyone upgraded. :lol:

Dude was tossed up like a salad, the minute he mentioned it was 3am I knew he was inebriated. To even think that current Celtic team will be talked about like an old folklore tale is ludicrous. That team is good but not great and certainly not unbeatable. Come on man do you think people will be talking about Kendra Perkins twenty years from now ? Now Paula , Kevineshia and Raylett will be mentioned but the rest of that team is a joke.

And to show I'm not bogus people will say the same about our role players, so what. Difference is Kobe and Fish have 4 rings, those girls have one.

Oh yeah props to Sheednetta and Glenda too. :lol:

we don't really need to be posting about what other boards are doing. anywhoo, i went to go look at the thread and almost every reply is reasonable. i hate it when other boards do that to us just cause one single ignorant lakers fan starts some thread with a crazy title, no way should we do it to them.
