The 51-70 Padres are on the verge of sweeping the team with a top 5 payroll in MLB!

Prediction Harden goes 7 innings, 7 ks, 1 er, 6 hits, 1 walk and loses. AZL cubs lose 2-1.

why would any of you have any faith. watching games must be fun for you guys now huh? whine whine whine, i hope they do make the playoffs then you guys can just be quiet and eat crow.

its not always the easiest road to the post season, not like the easy road helped us last year. maybe some hardships will actually help.

Even if the Cubs make the playoffs (Pretty impossible at this point. I know we're only 5 out of the Wild Card but we're behind 4 teams. And this team has shown no signs of turning things around unless you think the Pirates and Nationals are worldbeaters.) do you actually think the Cubs will do anything in it? The Cubs can't even beat AAA San Diego.

no chance?

astros were 20 back a couple years ago and made the wildcard. sox were just this bad in 05 in a huge slump and surged to the playoffs. its not over. and if it is then why keep posting in the cubs boards?

Lee almost hits 3 run shot but still gets double. 5-0 Cubs. Rammy has two on.

Haha......oh homer cubs fan. Look im still rooting for us every game, but as SW mentioned I dont see us doing much. We have been dominated by the Phillies and we'll see how we fair in LA.

How is being hopeful a bad thing? Do you want everyone to just give in? The Cardinals collapsed last year to let the Brewers take the wild card. The Phillies just barely got into the playoffs last year and won the world series. With that said, even if we get into playoffs we probably won't do much but maybe Baker and Bradley's experience in playoffs could help.

Adam Wainwright is throwing a perfect game through 4 innings against the Dodgers. I fully expect the Dodgers will stop playing dead right when we come into town.

Not bad at all. I however, like to maintain a guarded optimism and being a realist.

If we have any chance we need our pitching staff to show up.

Nice homer Milton. And of course he ruins it by doing the hands thing to the crowd.

With the exception of Gregg, Heilman, and Marmol at times I think it has.
Anybody hearing these idiots yelling at Bradley? First homer ever? I think I heard them asking for him to tear his ACL. Disgrace to Cub fans. Yell at Miles and Soriano, not bradley.

It was those (Please Use More Appropriate Word) Cubs fans if you heard them that had been yelling at him the whole game. They said it was his first homer ever. RAMMY crushes it. 7-0 CUBS! if only this offense would show up every 2nd or third game.
