For a second that looked like you meant "McGrady for Scola" until I realized you weren't referencing genitalia. In that regard, I actually like Vmac as a nickname

Yeah, that has to be one of the worst trades in NBA history.

Can I go with an almost trade? Big Shot Robert Horry for Sean Elliot. When that almost happened, I was most upset.

Best is definately Thorpe for Drexler, that is a steal not easily duplicated.

I was also under the impression Dream left for Toronto because he asked to, for the GOOD of the Rockets, a kind of "Hey, if these idiots want to pay good money for a player on the decline, and give up young talent, let them!" scenario. Thankyou for correcting my mis-information.

In that case, the trading of Hakeem was Sacrelidge.

In most professional sports in Australia. Some players are generally already afilliated with teams/clubs in some way. For example, in the AFL, (Australian Football League) they have what is called the "Father - Son" rule. this means that if your old man played for a team, you could become a protected draft choice. This even overules the #1 Draft pick. For Example, Player A is wanted by team A who has the #1 pick, but player A's Father Played for Team B, who has a subsequent pick to #1, (Irrelevant what number) so Team B is allowed to Draft Player A. The only sub-rule to this, is if the player doesn't want to play for their Father's team, or if the team chooses not to draft the player. Makes for some interesting tactics by teams on draft day.

You have to wonder if not trading RJ for Griff that year would have resulted in the Rockets not getting Yao. That said, it really turned the Rockets off to young prospects.

Anyway,

Otis Thorpe for Clyde Drexler was the best trade ever because it resulted in a championship they wouldn't have won otherwise.

Trading the MVP to save money is without a doubt the worst thing I've ever seen, but it started the chain of events that brough Hakeem Olajuwon to Houston so it gets a pass.

The worst trade in Rockets history is Jeff Van Gundy for Rick Adelman.

Not really, at least Adelman plays the young guys. Van Gundy would throw a decrepit Charlie Ward on the court before Aaron Brooks.

Obviously, you don't spend much time on the player comparisons board.
