arroyo.com - thanks! A lot of us here like hearing about international players that may not get a lot of exposure.

OK, so he's 7' 3", seems to have some good low post moves and is only 24 years old. I would not be too scared of his inability to crack the lineup of the Wiz due to his youth at that time. Going to Europe was probably a good move for him.

Does he have what it takes to be a productive player in the NBA? I don't know, but now he's on my radar so I'll be looking for more info on him. Haven't heard his name in the rumor mills up here, tho.

I wouldn't mind if the Rockets gave him a shot - 7'3'', 290lbs, only ever played 20mins in the NBA but went 11 and 4 with 50% shooting.

if the rocks sign him whose roster spot does he take?

1. Yao
2. McGrady
3. Battier
4. Scola
5. Brooks
6. Taylor
7. Budinger
8. Lowry
9. Landry
10. Andersen
11. Dorsey
12. Ariza
13. Hayes
14. Cook
15. Barry/White (Can't Get Enough of Your Love)
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I'd think Brian Cook's remaining year is bought out.

Also is Yao considered part of the 15 man roster, while injured?
Was hoping to keep White and Barry.

yes Yao counts.
Cook might be valuable as deadline trade bait.

Milwaukee just traded away one of 2 PFs on their roster and they have 4 Centers. Could we see a Landry for Kurt Thomas and a future second or a Landry,Cook for Gadzuric trade later this week?

edit add.
There's some speculation on Clips board that there may be a deal between Clips and Bucks for Sessions. Bucks do sign-n-trade w/Sessions for amount Clips have in a trade Exception and Clips send over a First(they have the 2010 Wolves First).
If true could lead to Landry, cash for Thomas and the First the Bucks got from Clips. Milwaukee shaves $800,000 in salary, gets a good young PF w/NBA experience and give up very little.
Just a little bit of Summer GM'ing that prob bears no relation to reality.

Package Barry and Cook to the Grizz seeing they like to make dumb trades and take bad contracts.

Does Yao take up a spot? Cook is easily gone.

Ramos was with Scola yesterday at the Sheraton hotel lobby in Puerto Rico and they had a chat and some joking time. When the media saw them, and after a question about Ramos, Scola said an Argentinian journalist that Ramos will be a Rocket's player soon, mentioning it like a "done deal".
