Points Per Game?

Post#1 » by joe.linnen » Wed Aug 19, 2009 8:56 pm

I was wondering now with Artest and a healthy Bynum in the mix I was wondering where their poins will come from. Will Kobe and Gasol take less shots so Bynum, Artest, Odom, and Fisher.

So my question is what kind of numbers would our best playes post?

Bryant 28ppg 6apg 6rpg
Gasol 18ppg 9rpg 4apg 1.5bpg
Artest 15ppg 3apg 6rpg
Bynum 13ppg 10rpg 2bpg
Odom 14ppg 9rpg 4apg
Fisher 10ppg 2rpg 3apg

that would be 98 ppg form our starting line up. could this really happen?

No.

I expect Kobe's PPG to drop to 26 or 25 because he'll give up one more shot and play less minutes. I highly doubt that Fisher can average 10ppg.

well, first, not everyone plays every game, so adding up everyone's ppg isn't necessarily going to be the same as the team's ppg.

anywhoo, no way lamar avg's 14 ppg. coming off the bench for only half the season dropped his avg to 11 ppg. if he's coming off the bench the entire yr he'll probably be around 9-10 ppg, especially with another ball dominant player in artest. i also agree with patterns that kobe will be around 25-26 ppg, not 28ppg.

I agree, Kobe around 24, No way Odom ave 14, maybe around 10, Fisher 7 ppg , Artest 13 ppg, Bynum, 10 ppg. Gasol 16 ppg

^ I agree

I don't expect this to happen but seeing as this will be the most talented lineup kobe has ever played with (excluding team usa), I'd love to see him make a concentrated effort at 7 assists this year.

One thing that can stop this team this year is discontentment and a lack of continuity. By keeping Gasol, Bynum, Odom, and Artest happy and involved offensively, he will probably see a carry over on the defensive end.

If Bynum stays healthy I expect 14-15 ppg easy. Nicka's prediction sounds pretty good.
