Erick Dampier for under 8 points per game. Wow a solid backup center in the second to last round.

Why didn't anyone pick Felts? He's under 6'0.
Humble yourself.

Re: summer fun: fantasy draft contest - jdm3 on the clock
The LEGION OF DOOM Selects:

Greg Paulus 2009 undrafted rookie
Neither Chabber or I are big college hoops fans, but we both hate this guy (and Chabber is a Duke supporter). None of my Duke friends liked him either and the UNC fans that I know loath him more than the typical Dukie. This guy is totally unlikeable, lets just get that out of the way.
So why draft him? The very same reason. Players are going to work hard in practice just so they can throw him around. Gopher level task needs doing? Send Paulus. Guy will be the punch line to everyone's jokes.
Think about it. Let's imagine our Bobcats getting blown out. The other team has mercy and pulls their starters, do you stay to boo or leave in ultimate disgust? Can you imagine how furious you'd be if he (against all logic) actually made a good play? If Darko Milicic is the Human Victory Cigar, Greg Paulus will be the Legion's Human Bottle of Bubbly.
I know he's the starting QB for Syracuse as a grad student, but his BB career is over and he, as far as I know, WAS draft eligible. We can find someone else if we have to.

Re: summer fun: fantasy draft contest - countryboi on the clock
The Legion of Doom is a collection of physically imposing tough guys who are going to make teams work for 48 minutes on both sides of the ball. The team is built to play sessions of stifling defense that lead to easy transition buckets, though the tandem of Nash and Boozer will ensure that we don't struggle in the half court set. If scoring option one and two are stuffed, we're going to keep throwing picks and pushing defenders off of the block until we get the look we want. We will be able to get points by intimidation alone.
Logically, Chabber and I decided long ago that the team didn't need a coach from the basketball Hall of Fame. We didn't need a former NBA coach of the year. For this collection of talents to be successful, we just need a guy with a strong personality that knows how to manage the egos of winners. Without further ado,
The LEGION OF DOOM selects:

Jack Reilly, Coach of the Minneapolis Division 5 Hawks
Coach Jack Reilly is a cunning bastard and his Hawks are a bunch of bullies. For decades his "win at all costs" philosophy has provided the end result of championship banner after championship banner. Opposing player needs a reality check? Lay his ass out and send him to the hospital. Got a promising young player? Now he's on our team--you should've looked more closely at the league bylaws.
The guy is a supreme motivator. He expects perfection out of his players and is totally unwilling to accept anything else. On the other hand, players know they have to give him everything they've got. They know what will happen to them next year if they don't--they'll find their loser asses on someone else's loser-ass team. The next time AI has a game winning free throw opportunity, you can bet your ass that he's going to know how important it is. Like any strong father figure, Reilly will sternly inform Iverson that this missed shot won't just let the entire team down, but that he will personally be disappointed. Since there are only strong minded individuals on the LoD, this won't be a problem. THERE ARE NO GORDON BOMBAY'S ON THIS ROSTER, you can take that loser mentality to the poor side of town.
From the beginning, Chab and I have talked about how our guys have one goal--to dominate EVERYONE in the way of our championship. If you don't want to get blown out, you better bring your top game. Expect no mercy. This team isn't about sportsmanship or fun, it's about winning. Coach Reilly will keep these guys focused and humble until that mission is accomplished. If the crew celebrates too much after a sick alley-oop from Nash to Iguodala, they're going to hear about it:
See ya on the court, losers.

See ya on the court, losers.

Air bud would've been an excellent selection. 6 foot or shorter?
