Are you happy about the Blue Jays right now?

Post#1 » by Sareth1988 » Tue Aug 18, 2009 12:51 am

For me, I am not happy because I still don't understand why they messed up since they doing good in the beggining of the season.

Look what happened between now and before?

Why did they change and why can they keep doing like they did in the beggining of the season. Man that's pretty waste my time to watch that since I was excited about this and now I am not cause I know they can't make it in the playoff again. Come on, just doing the same thing and beat everything and move on to the first or second or 3rd or 4th..I am happy with that if not then whatever..!!!

Is that the deadline to sign our picks?

I'm not super-happy with the Jays right now and haven't been in years, but at least we've got some up-and-coming young talent, some of it with power, and some great young pitching talent (and we still have Doc for a while), so we're generally fun to watch, with the exception of Wells, who remains a giant red flag on my entertainment.

well after not signing 3/4 of our top 4 picks...I think it's easy to say we're all not happy. The Jays went very cheap when it comes to their draft picks. They overpaid for Marisnick and Webb, but didn't oerpay for the likes of first round talents like Paxton and Barrett.

The Jays are just confusing the bloody hell out of me. I hope the club isn't getting put up for sale, because that's the only excuse I can see for such stupidity

On second thought, don't. We just spent $3.7m on the first ten rounds of the draft. 22 teams spent more. Several teams spent more on a single player. We could have thrown almost $5m at our outstanding picks and still not finished in the top five spenders.

No. I'm severely pissed off at the management of the team, from ownership down. I think the fans, and the city in general, deserve a far more superior product than this one.

I severely hope that there is a major renovation of everything, just like what the Raptors and Leafs are doing. At least give fans a glimmer of hope.

I have no faith in this organization right now, even less faith then those horrible years after the world series wins.

We have some good building blocks (Hill, Lind, Snider, Romero) but an ownership which seems to be showing much less interest in winning games than in saving money. The draft pick mess up shows just how deep we are in to penny pinching mode.

Until they fire JP I doubt anyone is gonna have any faith. They need to get rid of JP bring in some fresh blood, trade Halladay in the off-season for major league/close to majors prospects, let Scutaro walk unless he is willing to re-sign for a good price, trade Overbay, get rid of Millar. This isnt a full rebuild as the core pieces are already major league ready but if they get fair value for Halladay this team could be competitive again in maybe 2-3 years, kinda of like what Texas did.

This team is seriously hopeless. I just listen to the morning highlight on the radio, chuckle, and move on with my day.

I go to Yahoo now, and see the headline, "Young pitcher's boneheaded play", and there's a big pic of Brett Cecil. Poor kid. This not Yahoo Canada. it's the real Yahoo.com.

No because Vernon Wells is still on the team. We're going to suck real bad if we don't get new ownership soon.

God, I hope Rogers sells the team to ownership that can afford (and is willing) to contend in this division.
